Do not hesitate to buy these - seriously!
These shoes are wear-and-go! I bought these two days before international travel to a country that does a lot of walking. I was extremely hesitant to buy new shoes, especially so close to traveling, but I didn't want to have to deal with tying shoes through security at the airport. These did not rub or hurt my feet in any way, and did not require breaking in before hours of walking. They are lightweight, comfortable, easy to put on, breathable, and good looking for a walking-style shoe. I bought wide width because I have wide feet and because of some of my issues (next paragraph) and they are extremely comfortable, but I feel like regular width would likely have been fine, too, because of the mesh construction. The right shoe is a teeny bit loose for me but does not rub. I would absolutely recommend these shoes to everyone - and so did to a few people in line for security at the airport as they were dealing with their shoes.Shoes are difficult for me. I hate wearing shoes, I hate having my toes crunched, and I hate shoes that rub or hurt my feet. I have nerve damage in my lower back from a back injury which causes numbness and extra pain in my left foot (like when your foot is asleep but waking up and tingly but extra sensitive to pain). I also have a harder time with shoes because I can't move my toes as much, and too much heel or sole can cause me to roll my ankle because of the lack of feeling from my knee down. These shoes have not caused me any issues whatsoever.Also, with my back injury, too much waking or standing hurts, and too little support from my shoes while doing so can make the pain and soreness much worse. These shoes helped quite a bit because of their support and comfortability.

No breaking in - comfort from the word go!
My first pair of Skechers and now I wonder what I was waiting for. I wanted utilitarian black slip-ons for daily/casual wear and didn't really want an athletic shoe look. I love the style of this shoe and the comfort is fabulous. Over time I have established that my best size is 7.5 W and these were a perfect fit for me. I was concerned and wondered if my heel would really stay secure without lifting out, and it does!

Excellent support and bountiful comfort. I wear these almost all the time. The only reason I only gave them 4 stars is bc ... well... they're not the most attractive shoes out there; and bc the mesh tops trap dirt, which necessitates using a laundry or sink brush.But overall, happy with purchase-at a great price.
