Great Skechers alternative to an athletic shoe
I bought my first pair of these (in brown) last year to take on an extensive fall walking tour of gardens in Pennsylvania. I have a wonky back and an iffy left knee, so needed something supportive, comfortable and warmer than a sneaker. They were amazing. Even after walking 3-4 miles each day on uneven paths, my back and knee didn't ache like usual. This year I took them on a walking trip of Ireland with the same positive results. Skechers have been my go to shoes for gardening for years, but for trips I wanted something dressier than an athletic shoe but with the same support. These absolutely fit my requirements. I've even talked shoppers into buying them at Skechers stores. If you're looking for a nice looking, very comfortable and supportive alternative to an athletic-style shoe, try this one. It's become my favorite winter shoe.

Wonderful and stylish ankle-boot.
I just spent a week in Europe with uneven sidewalks and often times wet. I found this ankle boot to be ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! I initially had my doubts when wearing them as the boot hit the area of my left outer ankle bone and was uncomfortable. I tried using a piece of Moleskin over that area and it was a miracle. Comfortable to the max. Loved the non-skid or highly reduced slip soles with good tread for all walking surfaces. One day I walked over 20,000 steps in them with no discomfort (using the moleskin. Right boot, no rubbing or initial discomfort. If you’re going to wear compression socks, consider upsizing for added comfort. Good value and kept my feet warm s as nd dry the entire November trip. Highly recommend! Definitely give them a break in time prior to taking on long trips.

Very comfortable booties!
I’m in between sizes 81/2 & 9 so I ordered both. Definitely run a little big & I kept the 8 1/2. I still have plenty of room with thicker socks. Love the more rounded toe!! The arch support is wonderful & I haven’t needed to use my “inserts” for support. The rubber soles should be helpful in the upcoming winter months with snow & ice. I ordered these booties in black & like them so much that I’m ordering the brown as well today (on sale)!

Runs big!
Great looking booties! But they are NOT sized correctly and run about a size too big. Had to send them back and am going to order a couple more in smaller sizes until I find one that fits.

Comfort for a long period of time!
Comfortable shoes! I didn’t like that the zippers were on the outside of the shoe and not on the inner side. Made it a bit difficult to zip. Fit was correct and the heel height was good.
