Skechers are my go to shoe, whether it's work, casual, snow boots, or these waterproof hiking shoes. These are light and comfy. I will say they seem a tad bigger in the toes area than the rest of my Skechers do, but still fit okay. I plan to wear them hiking so the extra space will be just fine after long treks. The quality is great so far and I got them on sale so that was great. I love the colors and style of the shoes.
I bought these for a month long trip through Europe and they were great. The thick soles gave great cushion on cobblestone and they truly are waterproof. I took two other pair of walking shoes but ended up wearing these because they were so much more comfortable. We averaged 17,000 steps a day, got rained on a lot, and hiked a bunch in the mountains. I will say the tread is not super aggressive. So for intense hiking, you might want a different shoe. But these are great for a walking and mild to moderate level hikes. Lastly, I was battling mild planter fasciitis and these shoes saved me. The suport and cushion were perfect. They do run big so go a half size down from your regular shoe size.
I have so far used them inside the house for try and kept them on for a good hour. Being that they are waterproof, I was fearing a heavy shoe but I am pleased to find they are light and relatively comfortable and useful to walk on rainy weather. I would not use this ones for say, long walks, because the level of cushion is not par with other sketcher walking shoes I have. But for short hikes or rainy wet terrain walking, they are fine. they are not bad looking either. I wear size 8 and that’s what I ordered, fits perfect.
Well received this morning. I immediately wore them and went out to work as it rains today. Yes , the shoes are waterproof. They are as comfortable as other Skechers shoes I have. Size is perfect as there’re spaces for thicker socks.Another review said' However, if you step on any hard smooth surface….. it’s like stepping on an oil slick.' This review is absolutely true. I have the same experience walking on smooth surface on rainy days.
I was headed to Japan and needed a comfortable waterproof pair of shoes. These fit the bill. I wear a size 7 to 7 1/2 shoe and the size 7 fit me perfectly. As for comfort, I ended up wearing them every day in Japan, even if it wasn’t raining. The comfort was better than my Brook Ghosts.I wore them on streets, sidewalks, escalators, up and down 100’s of steps made of everything from concrete, old stone to wood. On sunny days and on rainy days. Thru a leaf covered wooded area. I never felt any slip.I did take along a shoe deodorizer packet but didn’t notice the shoes picking up much odor.The shoes also stayed clean looking throughout the 20 day adventure.
Just purchased my new waterproof shoes. I walked around in my soupy yard, picking up limbs after the storms . I want to say they are truly waterproof and very comfortable! My socks stayed perfectly dry! I highly recommend these shoes.
The hiking shoes looked stylish and weight wise is relatively light compared to conventional hiking boots. I spent a month breaking in the shoes to be on the cautious side before bringing the shoes on a major hiking trip. The shoes are good for gravel, dirt, and pavement. However, if you step on any hard smooth surface….. it’s like stepping on an oil slick. I was in a hotel lobby, the shoes started sliding even while I stood still. As I hiked on stone stairs in the mountains, the shoes would threaten to not grip and slip. I can verify that they seek water resistant material as they kept my feet dry. However, for the purpose that I bought them for, I probably wouldn’t buy again. For the regular trail blazer might be viable option.
