Great sneaks for neuropathy with paralysis and balance issues/early foot drop

Great shoe, except for the funky tongue that isn’t attached, isn’t padded (at ALL) and the way the laces don’t allow a quick on and off.For $80 the least Skechers can do is give you a sneaker with a real tongue and a shoe you don’t have to fight to get on or off. It’s really a $70 sneaker except for the brand name. But I do wear them because of the rocking motion to the sneaker, a rarity nowadays. Because shoes with a rocking motion are sought after by people like me with foot damage from neuropathy or surgery, it’s sad the tongue of the sneaker is so thin and awkward, as well as the lacing system. But I feel obligated to give 5 stars bc I don’t want Skechers to stop making soles that help people like to me walk easier (and oh yes, it does! I have stage 2/3 neuropathy in one foot, toe paralysis too, and the other foot has a big toe that’s forgotten how to lift off and push off. I also have early foot drop and the rounded soles help avoid those skuffs and trips. They are comfortable once on, lightweight, and supportive all over (minus the tongue area, which always feels tight, and I’m sure that’s not all neuropathy speaking). I love the heel height and the amazing support to the balls of my feet, and to my ankles as well. Overpriced, I think? But still worth it.

Solid choice

I have spent many years only wearing Nikes. The prices have exceeded what I’m willing to pay for sneakers at this point. Plus my foot is on the wider side and a lot of brands don’t carry the styles I prefer in wide. These are nice because they have a nice cushion to them and are comfortable for my wider feet. I feel like I actually have some room for my feet to breathe. I bought them about 2 weeks ago but so far they seem pretty durable. I work in a kitchen so wet floors are common place and I’ve had no issues with slipping.

Perfect for wide foot.

I have a wide foot and need a wide toe box as well. This shoe is SO SO comfortable. Plenty of space and support for this wide foot girlie. Love these so much! I’m on my feet 12+ hours/day and my feet don’t hurt at all after work. Definitely recommend.

Shoes for back injury or diabetics

I bought my first pair of Skechers Max Cushioning sneakers as soon as I saw them being advertised in my area. This was just after Skechers launched the Max Cushioning shoe. I have a back injury that can be very painful when I stand or walk too long. I’m also diabetic, so I’m always looking for comfortable shoes. The Max Cushioning sneakers had a very thick sole on the shoe. It looked like it would be so comfortable. As soon as it was physically possible, I went to a shoe store and bought them. I literally took off the shoes I wore into the shoe store, tried the Max Cushioning sneaker on, and was amazed at how comfortable they were. I didn’t put my other shoes on at all before I left. Those shoes were the best sneakers I’ve ever had. They weren’t on sale at the time but I didn’t mind paying full price. They were worth every penny. I wore those shoes for months, until eventually I noticed I had worn the thick cushion down and I didn’t notice the same level of comfort when I wore them. Amazingly they were still in great shape. One thing I love about many of Skechers shoes is that they’re machine washable, meaning you can wash them in your washing machine, and they get so clean! The shoes in the thumbnail for this review are my latest pair. They are still just as comfortable.

Average sneaker

Nice shoe, but the outer sole makes squishy noises when you step on a little bit of water, even dewy grass, and walk on a solid surface. The shoe fits as expected and has a comfortable toe space. Does not relieve heel spur pain.

Cute Shoes

Very cute! Very comfortable! I took away one star because the laces are TOO SHORT.After wearing them for a couple of days at work, I’m giving them five stars! Yes, the laces are too short, but they are SO COMFORTABLE! Great support!
