Skechers Reggae shoes are my best friends
This is my second pair of Skechers Reggae and I can’t say enough about what a versatile travel shoe it has been. Whether touring Hawaii, Mexico or Arizona over the past few years, they adapted well to negotiating cobblestone streets, keeping me steady on a cruise ship, strolling along a beach or walking down a desert trail. Washable, supportive, comfortable and dependable, I will always take a pair of these with me for warm weather climates wherever I roam. I bought the first pair five years ago and they are still going strong. I bought the second pair as a backup in case the company ever gets the crazy idea to discontinue this style.

More Fashionable Than Practical for Hiking
While the sandal has a sturdy sole (great grip on the bottom and soft insole for a barefoot), the stretchy straps feel too minimal for my slender foot. (8 inches measured around the arch)I ordered a size 5.5 on Amazon because the nearby Skechers store only had a 6 for their smallest women’s size in this style. The 5.5 is true to size, but even when I tightened the one adjustable strap to the shortest setting, my foot still slid forward, so the built in arch support no longer sat properly under my foot. I might try sizing down but overall, I think the minimal straps may not be protective enough for hiking on rocky terrain. Otherwise, the sandals looks cute and seem comfortable for everyday wear.

Good shoes, straps scratchy.
I have a pair of these that I leave in Florida. I could not find the same style for home so I bought these. The sole isnt as soft as my other pair. I like that the straps are stretchy but its kind of a scratchy material. Mt other pair is more of a webbed material and very comfortable. These are a sturdy shoes but do not like the scratchy straps.

Sketcher sandals
Tried these sandals on and they fit perfectly. A lot of shoes I try on have a large toe area these do not. I am very pleased with this purchase and the soles are comfortable at first try on no breaking in needed.

Skechers Company, PLEASE GO BACK TO ADJUSTABLE NYLON STRAPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love Skechers' reggae sole, but they've abandoned the woven nylon straps -- which are adjustable for a better fit -- and gone to using un-adjustable elastic straps, with an inferior fit and which affect circulation and make my feet swell. Fortunately I had purchased 7 pairs of their sandals before they made the change, so I'll have something to wear for a few years. If they don't switch back to the adjustable nylon straps, they have lost this customer. It's a big loss for me, because Skechers' reggae sole is the one that has the arch in the right place for my feet. I love my older Skechers because they never had to be broken in, and I can be on my feet all day in them without plantar fasciitis pain.
