Fit is great, love the look, but needs some breaking in

I just got these, but first impression is that they look great, fit as expected, material is nice. The only concern I have is that the top of the boot may rub my skin raw (if for some reason my sock falls below the top). But as far as work boots go, this is one of the best I have found. Lots of room in the toe, composite toe is super strong. Will update review once I break them in.

Customer service for failing product

These boots were purchased as a Christmas gift 2024. Purchase date 12/4/2024, but the boots were not used until post Christmas. The steel toe on one of the boots has begun to buckle when being worn and the foot is bent. We visited a local Skechers shoe store and they refused to provide any assistance with the boot as we purchased the boots through Amazon. Amazon does not have this item listed in product support, so we are left with a failing pair of boots that neither the manufacturer or retailer will repair. Not happy!I would like to leave a no star rating but it doesn't allow that either.

Built well-ish

So, I work in EMS and don't want to deal with zippered duty boots anymore. I had a pair of Hey Dude slip ons similar to these and loved them. But they only lasted for about a year. These ones are thicker and better built. I like the size of the pull tab on the back. They are plenty wide for wide footed people too. The drawbacks I have found after wearing them for a few shifts are 1. They needed insoles. The bottoms of these are fairly hard and uncomfortable. There's not a lot of opportunity for it to form fit your foot. Additionally, they are built with plenty of space. Meaning if you have fat feet you'll do well in these. I don't have fat feet and because of that the insoles were also needed to reduce the overall space in the shoe so it fit better vs having my foot flop around inside. It felt like I was "clomping" when I walked before adding insoles. 2. These are NOT slip resistant. First time I took the boo boo bus to wash it I nearly slipped and wiped out on the FD cement floor. 3. These are well built and water resistant. But because of that they're also HOT. My feet got sweaty in these easily. These shoes do not breathe. 4. Last but not least, the backs of them are stiff. Wear tall socks or I guarantee you'll hate these shoes at the end of your first day in them. I still don't have mine broken in. But I can see where these would very easily rub the backs of your legs raw if you didn't wear good tall socks. I do wish they would add a bit of flexion to the back. Overall, I like the shoe after a little modification. I think once broken in, they be great. But it's gonna take a while.

Extremely comfortable!

These are extremely comfortable for steel toes. Not the expected Sketchers pillowy I soles but still nice. They are a little snug around the ankles, but I like that as the provide me a little support there. I have all the girls in the plant wearing them now!
