These Hunthor snake bite protective boots are of the very best quality. They are made with great detail given to the very best construction possible to protect from snake bites. This was extremely important to me in deciding which brand to purchase. They are very comfortable to wear. Also, the customer service given by Hunthor regarding the purchase of their boots was the very best! A mistake was made with the first pair of boots that Amazon sent to me. The Hunthor customer service representative that handled my purchase was very attentive and caring to correct the mistake that was made in the original pair that was shipped to me. The customer service given by Hunthor to stand behind the purchase of their boots was 10 stars! It was the most amazing purchase / customer service that I have ever experienced with an Amazon order! Do not be afraid to order these boots! I do recommend if in between sizes…order the larger size. Because of the incredible reinforced construction to protect from snake bites the ankle area is very sturdy and can be a slight challenge to remove the boot. Ordering a slightly larger size can give a little extra room to help remove the boot. Even before I received my first pair of boots the company had messaged me to return the boots and get the next larger size if I had difficulty removing the boot. I was amazed that Hunthor cared enough to send me the first message regarding the snugger ankle fit bc of the reinforcement in the boot construction…but then for the company to go way above and beyond to stand behind my purchase when an error way made was totally amazing….but very much appreciated! I would absolutely recommend these snake bite proof boots and I would absolutely buy them again! AWESOME GREAT QUALITY AND AFFORDABLE!!

These are GREAT GREAT GREAT! I’m a woman and I wear 8.5 shoes. My feet are flat and no high arches. I bought size 7 and they fit perfectly! I can’t afford the expensive ones so I gambled on these and I am so happy that I did. It is very well, superbly well made in China. The quality is so good. I live in the Ozarks where snakes abound. This season is especially bad. So, I wear these for more than hiking. They’re super comfortable on the inside and the outside is tough and definitely snake-proof. Also, it is high, which is a plus. I took a picture next to my rain boots as a comparison. Don’t be fooled with reviews that are anti-China anything. These are great and affordable. I would not be able to afford the expensive brands.

A Good Boot for the Money

My favorite feature of these boots is the 7mm thickness above the soles which is mostly neoprene and is very good at keeping body warmth inside. That's great for cold season hunting and deep snow. The construction seems good all-round and I think they will last many seasons. Tread is aggressive. And I also like the cuff gusset.For guys that don't have wives, there's a kick tab above the heel to ease boot removal. It was too small to do me much good. Single guys will have to make do.As for the fit, I wear size 11 1/2. The product page size chart recommended size 12 and this was a good recommendation. With thick socks they fit well enough, if a little big. Arch support is average.These are pretty nice boots for $100.

Buyer beware

Looks like good high quality but its not. Very comfortable, little heavy with good fit until you step in water. Leaks form just above the heel and gets even heavier with water. The only time I would wear them is when I'm in ankle deep water, which makes them useless. Waste of money

Sturdy and good quality

Thankfully I haven't had to find out if they're truly snake proof, but they're very sturdy. The lower rubber shaft is still and can be about difficult to get off the 1st or couple times. I was.able to get off after trying one on, but it wasn't easy. I've been wearing over a week now and they're comfortable and much easier to get off. I also have very large calves and was concerned they wouldn't fit at all. These have an adjustable section at the calve that opens up for easier access and they fit perfectly. Very Very happy with these.
