Got these for my daughter for school. The shoes work for her uniform. I was worried she wouldn’t like the double buckle, but she likes them! In fact, she said they feel much sturdier than the ones I had been getting her. We will see how well they hold up. They passed the 10th grader fashion code…well at least for her uniform. I got the size 8 & she wears between an 8 & 8 1/2 normally.
Comfortable and true to size
The 90's girl in me almost screamed in delight when I ordered these chunky mary janes. I was so excited to get them! They are a big snug and need some more time to get broken in as they are quite stiff. The two straps operate independently of each other and the hasp stays tight so it is easy to just pull it to get it to notch into one of the holes. That also makes it a little more difficult to get them off as I have to slide my fingernail inbetween it and the leather of the strap and in order to release it. I have only worn these for a little bit at a time, at they are so stiff they will quickly give me blisters if I attempted to wear them for a full day of work. The shoe itself is a little tight, so while I ordered my standard 9.5, I wish I would have ordered up a half size as I think that would have made the break in process go a little faster.
