Versatility at its finest
If you’re like me, you’ve been searching for a long time for a shoe that can be worn around a camp fire, to the pumpkin patch, to the mountain cabin, to the grocery store, and to church the next morning. THESE SHOES ARE IT. These are the perfect fall and winter boot.The fit is perfect. I usually wear a 12, and the size 12 fits me great. They are extremely comfortable, much more so than my usual cowboy boots, and are great for walking and standing. The waterproof element helps tremendously with keeping your feet dry during wet fall and winter weather, and keeps the boot rather warm as well. The boot has excellent tread underfoot to provide good traction in slippery conditions.The boot is also extremely easy to put on. The boot comes with 3 individual pieces to help maintain its shape during shipping. Be sure to remove all 3 pieces. Several reviews mention the difficulty of putting these boots on, and I’m assuming they left one of these pieces in the boot (see image). Please remove these.I love that I can wear these boots with any outfit and work perfectly for what I need them for. I’m not in the trades, so these aren’t functioning as any kind of work boot, but they are nonetheless built very sturdy and work perfectly for my lifestyle.If you’re unsure about making the jump to boots, these are a great pair to try out. They’re comfortable, stylish, waterproof, and cheaper than committing to a Blundstone or Red Wing boot. Get these boots and get out there!

EXCELLENT shoes, just too wide for my narrow feet.
These are excellent shoes. Well made. Unfortunately I have a very narrow foot (A/B width) and an 11 1/2 length. As much as I tried thick socks, inserts, tongue pads etc. I guess you could score the shoes a 5 star and my feet 2 stars.

I bought a pair of these for a November trip to Italy (rainy season). Extremely comfortable walking all day on cobblestone, wore them in heavy rain and they kept me dry. I wore them with jeans, brown cords, and blue chinos…looked great with all. I’m buying more as Christmas gifts.

Nice for outdoors and a casual weekend
While lacking a contemporary stye, these traditional looking boots have enough going for them to make them worthy of consideration: the fit is very true to order (which is not always the case with online shoe orders) and they are water resistant, which makes them very good for outdoors, not just a casual café day, but these have good traction which makes them nice for a casual walk or even a hike. They’re a little clumsy in their width and weight, they are particularly easy - as boots go - to put on and take off.

A 5-Star Boot But Not For All Feet ~ Dang!
My 3-Star rating is based on my husband's feel and fit -- The quality of this boot is 5-starFor my husband, there is no arch support (which can be rectified with arch-supportive inserts)My husband also has the smallest ankles of any man I've ever known -- Hence, the top section of the boot fits his ankle loosely and is uncomfortable to his upper ankle area. (even with higher socks)His feet are wide at the toe area which is why he went a 1/2 size higher than his norm (a 10) - that part of the boot actually fits his foot (he typically does go with a 1/2 size larger or a "Wide" because of HIS toe base)What sealed the "no go" deal for him was the difficulty of getting his foot INTO the boot and OUT of the boot. Dang!In general, the tread and sole of this boot is excellent.The design, suede and color are gorgeous.This is a really handsome pair of men's boots with the quality stamp of the SOREL brand.He realizes that having a lace-up option is simply the better, and more convenient, way for him to wear a boot-- along with some padding at the ankle.The waterproof factor is a definite plus along with the thick higher sole and tread to wear in inclement weather.This is a FIVE STAR BOOT for those who can navigate the on/off, who don't need greater arch support (or use inserts).I would expect this boot to have a long life because of all of the quality.It is not offered in a "WIDE" - but ordering up a 1/2 size may be the answer for a wider foot.
