Great shoe! Great arch support, fits true to size and very comfortable.Wore them for 6 hours concrete floor constant standing and feet were very happy after.Nice to have waterproof if it’s rainy. No soggy socks if you wear these.

These really are nice shoes. The stitching is tight, the material is strong, and the overall look and design is beautiful. There is a lot of traction on the bottom, so they should last a long time. Unfortunately, I cannot speak to their comfort because they are sized too small. I got size 9.5 when my feet are usually a size 9, but these are too tight. My feet couldn't breathe, and I could feel them start to tingle after a couple minutes. I have a picture here showing them with my New Balance size 9 sneakers, and you can see the difference. Sure, my old ones are worn in and a bit stretched, but it's hard not to notice how much smaller these new ones are especially considering they're sized larger. It's unfortunate because the shoes are really nice otherwise. I just won't be able to wear them.
I like these sneakers/hikers quite a lot. My wife and I are big fans of this brand, and we've had numerous sorel shoes, mostly hiking boots, during our lives. They stand up really well and are made extremely well.These sneakers seem to be no exception to that rule. The styling of them is quite unique, and to my eye they look great although others may disagree. They have very thick soles that would make them good both for urban wear and also for light hiking. They have good cushioning around the ankles and the tongue which makes them feel comfortable.Out of the box they are quite stiff and require a good amount of breaking in before I would use them for a full day or for hiking. The lacing system seems particularly great to me. You can lace them up loosely, put your foot in, and pull hard on the laces and they lace well all the way up and down, which is quite unusual in my experience. Because they are made by sorel, I don't feel like I'm going to be pulling off the eyelets when I lace them up tightly.The only thing I would change, and this is clearly based on my individual tastes and feet, is that the toe box is not particularly wide and my toes do feel a little scrunched side to side. They also create a very narrow look to the shoe from the top view. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, the insoles are nothing to write home about. I have had problems with plantars fasciitis, and so I put aftermarket insoles with better arch support and a better heel cup in all of my shoes, and have done so with these as well.Overall I'm extremely happy with these sneakers/hikers, and would highly recommend them if they suit your purposes and you like the style as much as I do.
