These booties are well made and durable and a perfect size 7. I expect they will stretch once they are broken in and I'll be able to wear them with thicker socks. The dark brown leather is rich and compatible with every color in the spectrum. I'm not one to wear heels often and these booties have a slight lift, but they are very comfortable to walk in. Great for the fall and winter. Very happy with this purchase.
This is not just the most comfortable boot I have ever owned, it is the most comfortable SHOE! I just bought and searched and searched for the most comfortable running shoes because well if I am going to be persuaded to run I have to be comfortable. These boots I think are more comfy than the running shoes...and I did my research on the "best running shoes of 2019".... I picked one of the top 3....and it was rated top on the cushy scale. So that being said....buy these. Your feet will love them. You can stand, run a mile or two, shop and WON'T drop;) All good things:) Sorel...you are awesome! You want to go into the running shoe business? I do have to say they do run a tinsy bit small...I usually run between a 7 and 7-1/2 and the 7-1/2 are fitting perfectly....if you have a wider foot...you will have buy a wide. I have a narrower foot and average arches. I almost debated going up to a size 8 for thick socks but changed my mind. If you are on the fence...hop off that fence and push buy because these are the best shoes ever!
These are Sorel’s signature boot style and for good reason. These are beautiful and practical. The sole’s traction are solid and thick and works well in the snow. I live in MN and I purchased these for the traction needed on the ice. So far so good. They run small like most Canadian and European shoes so I ordered a whole size up and they were perfect. However, I do have wide feet so I normally have to go up about a half size to fit most shoes.I am a little disappointed that they are made in China as I thought this was solely a Canadian made company. Not sure if that was always the case before but I would have preferred it to be made in Canada and pay a little more. The quality does seem good so perhaps that will not be an issue. The one nit pick thing I would say is I wish the zipper was on the inside of the boot instead of the outside. One for esthetics and the other for ease of removal. I am so used to the zipper being on the inside so that was an adjustment. I have already loosened the Sorel leather tag sewed on the back of the boot. (See pic). I would also recommend protecting the leather with some protectant. This style scratches easily.
These are my 3rd pair of Sorel wedge soled boots that Sorel has come out with in the last six or so years. I grew up in the North wearing the iconic Sorel snow boots with removable felt liners (the best ever for -40!) so imagine my delight when they offered something and little less...practical looking! I LOVE these newest Joan of Arctic boots! They truly are waterproof and warm! I’ve tested that in the coastal climate of south central Alaska. Sometimes 45 degrees and sometimes -10 All in the same week!They clean up nicely after road slush and salt dry on and they don’t stain.I can wear them to a business meeting and out shopping for dinner in a snowstorm and drifts right afterwards and still feel chic and comfortable.I’m always glad when I chose Sorel boots!
This style from Sorel is my absolute favorite ankle boot. If I am going to wear a shoe with any height, I have to wear a wedge or platform (due to an old ankle injury/surgery). I can wear these all day. I wore them to a football game and was on my feet all day tailgating and walking long distances and my feet never hurt. I have a tan color in this same boot that I bought a few years ago and they still look great (and I am kind of rough on shoes).
