I don't know how these are cuter than the pictures
Okay, I've always wanted a pair of Sorel wedge boots. I've got some Sorel winter boots and I've got other brands of wedge boots....but this is finally my first pair of Sorel wedge boots. I've liked these, but there's another pair I've always really wanted.... these were on sale though and I just couldn't take it any longer so I took the plunge.The pictures were cute, but I wasn't sure about the fluff on the front. I honestly thought it might be cheap faux material and wasn't sure that I'd like them as much in person.I just received them and when I opened the box I had mixed emotions. It looked like the top edge of the toes was worn or scuffed somehow, but I realized the leather has a soft fuzz layer and when it is wiped one direction it is lighter, the other direction and it is darker. I rubbed the material one direction and it instantly matched and showed they were not scuffed! This was good news.Still looking at them in the box, they didn't excite me as I had hoped. As I slid my foot into the first shoe, the sides of the toe area seemed stiff and tight. Not tight like they're too small, but tight as in no flexibility and just hard. I thought I might return them, but decided to try both on and try walking in them and checking them out in the mirror.As I laced them up, I started to get that excitement I had hoped for. The link laces looked beautiful in contrast to the white fluff and the tan leather. I took notice of the tags hanging on the side and read them.The "fluff" is natural lamb wool sourced from Australia! Okay, that's better. Sheep wool is amazing at insulation, at least the front of my feet will be warm lol. It's very stylish for the winter.I liked the feel as I walked. They are true quality boots. If you know anything about real leather boots, they're stiff at first and get broken in over time to fit your feet perfectly.These are stiff, but actually comfortable to walk in. There's not a lot ot cushioning, which is the only thing that would make them better. I honestly would order half a size up and add some amazing insert to give more cushion.Looking in the mirror sealed it for me. I waltzed back and forth, feeling like my already long legs were even longer by the hidden heels. They hightlight your ankles, legs and bum nicely.I'm so excited to wear these out with a cute pair of leggings or skinny jeans with an apricot sweater or light pink flannel to match the laces. I feel sexy and beautiful wearing these, so no, I don't be sending them back after all.
