Love these boots!
The reviews made me nervous but I'm glad I tried them. Very comfortable out of the box. Super cute and versatile. I only had room for 1 pair of boots on a trip and these were perfect. The tobacco brown leather and black sole worked with all my outfits. They look good with skinny jeans and wide leg jeans. They fit true to size imo. They are a bit narrow, which works for me but won't for everyone. I left them loose at the airport to get through security quickly and didn't have a problem.

My first SOREL boots to see what the hype is about
UPDATE: While not perfect for my unique needs, they saved me and are worth the hassle getting ON and OFF. Flew to Turkey to celebrate my birthday. I did city walking in Istanbul and then explore the runs of Capadoccia. In Istanbul, it was cold, wet, windy and these kept my feet soooo warm, dry and cushioned against that cobblestones on which I easily logged 10k steps a day. Getting them on and off was a pain as, in order to enter the beautiful mosques, you have to take them off and walk only in your sock. In Cappadoccia, the weather is grey, sometimes muddy and cold, but as before they kept my feet soooo warm and dry. The ankle support was something that I hadn’t considered when buying and I’m so glad the support was so strong. I tripped in dark places and twisted my ankle several times. Without these, I’m sure I would have broken or sprained my ankle. But as it was, it was enough support to keep me from doing so. Resting for a few minutes was all I needed to recover from the jarring movement. Any caked on mud brushed off when dry. Loved these!!!Need these boots for a 10 day Euro vacation where the forecast is rainy and 30-50F daily! My first pair of SOREL boots and I wanted to see what the hype is about. I wish the leather was more supple/luxurious (shiny) looking but i suppose that it defeats the “TOUGH” look for these motorcycle style boots. Heavy but exceptionally comfy for walking. As others recommended, I sized up 1/2 size and it could easily accommodate my wool hiking socks. My feet are def on the wider side and I thought I’d end up returning these since they were sooooo tight across the widest part of my foot, regardless of how much I loosened the laces.. like there was a bar of some sort. I wore them for 5-10 mins inside the house for two times, and by the third time, they had stretched out. Nice padding inside so my feet were very comfy. I like them but as far as boots go, there are TWO MASSIVE Fails (really?): you have to practically unlace the whole thing like others said to slip your foot in, as the laces loop into the HOOK versus along Side it AND there is NO pull LOOP. There is a tiny tab of extra leather that is barely 1/2 long. Aside from the stupid long time it takes to pull on and take off, I will keep them since I plan to be walking 12 hour days and the long term comfort, warmth, and dryness is more important.

Arrived scuffed
Haven’t decided if I’ll keep these or not. They’re not perfect, but they’re a nice style and the cons are fairly manageable for me. Not too pleased that they arrived scuffed up.Pros:-price was on point (got them on sale)-quality construction-waterproof!-they look fantastic (design-wise)Cons:-tight across top of foot and narrow toe box-arrived scuffed throughout-pain to put on!

Maybe ok for flat narrow feet?
Unless you have flat narrow feet don’t bother. I wanted to love these, and have always found Sorel shoes good fitting, and good quality leather-until now. Oddly, I purchased another version of the Lennox style (with white cloth sides and sheepskin) from another store in the exact same size, and they fit nicely, even with thick wool socks and a higher cushion insole (which I added). These, however, crushed the top arch of my feet painfully and the undersole seemed wrecklessly assembled (damaged), and added further trauma to my feet. I tried using thick socks and conditioner on the leather, but it didn’t help. Just bad construction or maybe rejects sold as authentic. Just pass on these and try a different style.

Size up 1 to 2 FULL size(s)!
Perfect for any combat boot lover. The quality is excellent and extremely durable. I have worn in icy and snow conditions without a single problem. I did wear warm socks though! I HIGHLY recommend at least going 1 to two sizes up. I purchased 8.5 and I am normally a size 7.5. It took at least a month to really break these in. I have had these for a while now so I felt comfortable rating these as a 10/10. The style, appearance, support, and durability are excellent.

The other reviews aren't wrong, but I suggest trying them if you're unsure
The other reviews that mention the tight toe box and intense lacing are not wrong. I almost didn't order these because of the reviews but decided to try for myself. When I received them, I tried them on and the reviews were 100% correct - you have to unlace virtually the whole boot and once on they were oddly tight. HOWEVER, as soon as I stood up and walked around they were immensely comfortable. I gambled and took these on a 10-day trip to Iceland with no breaking-in time... and they were perfect! The only time I ever had any discomfort was while sitting in the car between hikes. It's the strangest thing. Still, I would definitely recommend them despite the issues because they're so comfy, great quality, and good looking on top of all of that.
