Remnant of Eden
I don’t write reviews, but these boots were so phenomenal that the entire time I was hiking around Northern Ireland for the week, I was rehearsing the review that I felt indebted to write for these shoes from Heaven’s cobbler. I almost never thought about my feet during a week long vacation where all we did was walk and hike! I think that speaks to the success of their design and comfort. I have back problems and feet problems - and I couldn’t believe how absent from my mind and body these nagging pains were. I know that these well crafted shoes enabled me so many more miles than would have been possible otherwise, and I credit this to the angelic beings who conceived of their invention and creation ;) No blisters. Toasty warm feet on long cold and wet hikes. Even indoors and walking through museums, I was comfortable. They were warm when it was cold and comfortable when it wasn’t. They were so easy to slide in and out of, and I cannot express how thankful I was to be able to traverse all sorts of terrain and cover so much ground without pain or discomfort. These shoes made it possible to see so much beauty that otherwise I might have been limited by any other pair of shoes. Buy. These. Boots.

Great boots!
I have had Sorel boots in the past, and they wore well, so in spite of some of the reviews I bought the Whitney tall boots in size 7 medium. I am 5'6 and weigh 128 pounds. My feet are medium width. The boots are a perfect fit even when I wore them with thicker socks. They have kept my feet nice and warm. I live in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mts. in Tn., so winters tend to get down to the low 20s, sometimes the teens but thats rare. We have had an active winter so far with ice, snow, rain, sleet, and slush. These boots have been fantastic. They have a thick bottom sole with treading that has kept me from slipping on ice. They do not let the snow in, keeping my feet nice and dry. They fit perfectly, and are stylish. I bought the gray ones with black and cream accents. I've worn them at least 20 times since I bought them in early January, so thus far they have been a great buy. If you live in extreme cold, I dont think they would be a good choice. I have heavier boots for that, but that was the issue. I wanted a more lightweight boot that would not be so stiff around my ankle, and clunky and heavy to move around in. These boots were the answer. Since they don't have the insert, I worried that they would not keep out heavy wet snow or heavy rain, but I have been so surprised that they are completely waterproof! Wet red clay mud is an issue here,, but it wipes off easily without leaving the material stained...Very happy with this choice!

Such a great buy!!
Totally love these!! They are lightweight, warm, comfortable and keeps me safe on icy streets and snowy roads. You still need to be careful on melted ice on roads but they are truly extremely good value for money and provide very good traction when going to parks and sightseeing in snowy icy winter. I totally recommend these. They do run on the narrow side so I guess they won’t suit wide feet. You need to take 1 size up from your usual sports shoe size to allow room for thicker socks and when your feel swells after a day of walking.

LOVE THEM! Warm and Comfortable
Though they felt a little narrow at first, the boots widened with a little bit of use, and were super warm. I wore them for days in Alaska, with temps below zero. With wool socks, these boots slip on, and off, very easily, making it so easy to take them off when you come in the house and then slide them back on. I was able to slip foot warmers into the soles, and still be very comfortable in the boots. I love them, I’m so glad I bought them.

Cheap quality soles
Their best quality is that they are really warm.I don't like the soles at all. I've worn them five times. The first time, the arch support was so high it was almost too much. It has flattened more with each wearing to the point that I almost can't feel it now. The soles under the balls of my feet are thin. I can feel the ground through them. I weigh 130 lbs, so I shouldn't be too heavy for them. I can feel sharp rocks. The heels are extremely squishy, bouncy squishy. I kind of liked this the first time I headed out in them, but it turned out to only be good for a few blocks. Beyond that distance, they feel like walking in sand, my heel sinking to what feels like below the level of the rest of my foot and the pull off of that with each step gets painful in my arches and calves. If I hadn't already worn them a few times I'd return them.
