True to size, perfect three season boots.
This is probably my tenth pair of Sorels. I have them ranging from snow boots to these more fashion forward styles and sandals... I pretty much only wear this brand bc they’re comfortable for city walking with kids and carrying things but look smart. I finally wore out the first generation Joan Wedges that were probably five years old. I literally wore a hole in the heel where the leather meets the sole so they were no longer waterproof. I will say the new ones fit exactly like the old ones, same sizing. I was worried from reviews saying they were tight so ordered an 11 and my usual 10.5. 10.5 was perfect, they’ve broken in a week later and are just as comfy as my old ones. I wear them with cotton dress socks so maybe if you want thick wool socks size up. Perfect for Chicago winters, stylish wedges with traction. This is my go-to style for Fall to Spring.

I’m glad I waited a year to buy this, from Lea to Joan #LEAMEETSJOAN. Sorel improved the construction eliminating the 2nd cut/stitching by the toe vamp which was a problem most buyers reported that turned me off from buying it. I’m impressed that Sorel is consistent in delivering quality shoes, might have listened to feedbacks. True to size, I own 3 other Sorel booties (Addington Chelsea, Conquest Wedge and Addington Cut Out) all in size 8. I’m a medium width size 8 in all other shoes I buy with half an inch toe room. That includes heels, flats, comfort, athletic, fall and winter shoes. This pair has a very comfortable well padded footbed and my ankles feel fully supported. It’s easy to slip in and out of. This might be my new go to booties this season. Way to go Sorel!Update: March 2019LOVE these booties so much that I bought another pair. I waited for a specific color that I want to add to my collection and Sorel didn’t disappoint. I love the muted brown hue of this latest purchase. These booties are still the most comfortable support for long standing and walking. I don’t like wearing sneakers, and these are my casual shoes that are trendy as well. Worth every penny!Buying recommendations: I believe buyers really need to check their size and specific color in an actual store so they won’t get dissatisfied with online purchases. Color gets distorted in photos depending on lighting/flash, very rare you get to see the actual color. And shoe sizing really depends on the individual’s feet structure, expect each foot to have slight length/width, heel/forefoot width differences, as well as the ankle bony structure position/height (lateral/medial malleoli). Thus, the shoe will fit differently even if it says your size.

Very cute but tighter than expected
I love the look of these boots even better than I expected but I am really disappointed in the fit. I have a narrow foot but a somewhat high arch and ordered a half size larger than I normally wear based on some of the reviews. It wasn’t enough. They are extremely tight across the top of my foot. Other than that, the souls are comfortable and the quality is great. I will exchange them for a larger size and hope that loosens them up enough to make them bearable to wear.

These boots are exactly what I was looking for. I live in a very rainy climate, and I tire of wearing the same old rain boots all the time. Most "rain proof" products are laughable in my region. This boot is cute, and so far, has lived up to the test. I was on the fence about ordering black vs. Major or Redwood - the black are sleek and classic, although I somewhat wish I had gone with another color, since black is not something I typically buy. However, if it is your color, they are the perfect boot.I have worn these primarily as an every day shoe, but they have held up to leisurely hiking and walking as well while remaining comfortable. There was zero break in period - straight out of the box, I have worn them daily with no complaints. Some of the reviews mention them being very narrow. I have wide feet, and haven't noticed an issue with them being narrow in the least. I suppose it depends on the individual's comfort level?Overall, a worthwhile purchase, and as a Sorel product, I anticipate these lasting for quite a while.*The boots are a bit scuffed up in my photos, but they'll give you an idea of how they wear.

I LOVE this boot. So much, in fact, that I now own it in 4 different colors. (Yes, 4 different colors. I may have a problem.) The tread is intense and very grippy--think snow tires for your feet. I routinely walk about a half a mile in these boots to and from the train in downtown Boston. Snowy, slushy sidewalks -- no problem! These boots are the perfect combination of functionality, comfort, and fashion. They are comfortable enough to wear all day and to commute in and out of the office: a win-win, since changing in and out of boots can be a pain in the winter. I will note, these boots fit snuggly across the top of my foot and I cannot wear bulky wool socks with them. (The boots themselves, however, seem to keep my feet comfortably cozy and dry.) They fit great length-wise and I found them true to size in that regard. I have also noticed a difference in sizing between colors; my solid black pair with the ribbed elastic insert (versus smooth elastic insert on the other colors, including black/purple combo) fit far tighter than the others.
