They are really cute in her. The size is accurate as well. She has great traction outside and I can say that they are definitely waterproof. She loves to play outside when it’s wet and muddy and her feet stayed dry and warm.
Fits as expected in length, fits as hoped for in width. Boots are wide even though they are sized as regular width, but wide is what I wanted. I have not been able to find wide boots of good quality for my son. Kamik makes what is called wide, but they use much less felt, and put that thinner lining in a medium rubber shell. It does not keep feet warm enough. I finally bought Sorel boots for him, I have a pair of my own already. These boots are worth the price, especially if you have younger children to pass them down to, they will last for years. My son is 9, and we are already in the deep freeze of Minnesota winter in November. He is outside for hours almost everyday running through the snow. He LOVES these boots.
These boots are my favorite. They keep my feet very warm in the snow and rain during our brutally cold winter months in the Midwest area without having to use super thick socks. They are waterproof and have good traction. They do tend to be a bit heavy but I would say expected for the material. They are a bit stiff at first, but have gave a little once worn for a bit. I purchased these for myself to be equivalant to a woman's size 9. Saved me some money to buy the youth boys which has the exact same style.
Bought these boots for my 10yr. old son. He LOVES them! He was excited to get them and wear them. Very nice looking boot. I have not heard any complaints about his boots. We get some bad winters and he likes to play out in the snow. When he comes in his feet are dry & toasty. He has never complained that his feet are freezing. No snow gets down in the boots! That is definitely a plus. Manufacturers just don't make good boots these days. The Sorel's have stepped up to the plate. I hope he can get into them for at least two winters.
These are the best boots for kids. My son would always complain his feet were so cold and he has not complained once with these. He says they are very comfortable and super warm, he can be outside for hours in these! They are also very stylish and go with everything.
I'm trying really hard to refrain from being smug because I got these for my child at a steal of a price! However, as a child gets older, I believe it can be more cost effective to pay a little more for the quality. We live in an area where winter days are typically in the teens and naughts, so a good pair of boots is essential (warmth, protection, and durability since they are worn nearly every day). My daughter has been wearing one size smaller than my son, even while they are twins, so she gets his boots the next winter. Both my husband and I have Sorel boots that are still going strong after 6 years. These are just like my husband's boots, only lighter in color. We are experiencing an early winter in our area (an indication of a harsh winter to come), my son wore these the other day and he was very happy with them. They are heavy, but not stiff like cheap boots, and come up to the calf. He has skinny legs and the ties close up all the space. The lining is removable, which is an important feature with kids boots as snow gets in while kids play and can make for a festering of stinky feet and possible foot fungus if it doesn't get dried out. I believe this boot will have a good resale value, very well suited to pass down to multiple siblings/cousins/friends. I think if we cannot resell these at a fair price after our kids are done with them, we may donate them to our kids school as there are plenty of kids who come to school with inadequate shoes/clothes for various weather conditions.
First off, they are worth every penny of cost. Love the warmth, traction, waterproof, style, comfort....the list goes on and on. Another great point....the insert comes out to speed up the drying time if needed. But the most of all, if/when they are get dirty/muddy, take the hose to them! Again, worth every penny.
