Keep dry, warm, easy to get on/off themselves, measure feet, & go to Sorel website accurate sizing!
I bought these for my 2 year old son. He is now 30 months or 2 1/2 years old.I ordered a toddler size 9.His foot measured 5 1/2”He at the time wore a size 7 or 8 in shoes. However he was in between sizes, seemed to be going through a big growth spurt, & I went off of the recommended sizing. As I wanted to make sure he had enough room to grow into? With his growth spurt and really not knowing. As I bought these last year right before winter. So I really wasn’t sure.However I think with these boots in particular, if you want them to fit. I think it would be safe to just order the size they wear or maybe a 1/2 size up. But no more than that?The toddler size 9 fit him but are big on him. He can still walk in them fine without any problems. They kept his feet super warm! His snow suit helped the most to keep them on his feet. However since they were big they did come off from time to time. Only if he was in deep snow, or in a weird position in the snow. That they would come off as he was playing. But I was there and would just put them back on with no issues. Again I knew this would probably happen, prior as I bought them bigger.Still yet they are a pretty good overall boot, and super easy for him to put on and pull off himself! The strap helps a little bit to keep them on but not too much.However next winter they should fit him perfectly and stay on without any issues at all! So all and all I’m glad of the purchase as I’ll get 2 years out of them rather than paying that much for just one winters wear! Especially at his age!Hope this helps?Oh and I definitely recommend checking the actual Sorel website online for accurate sizing!

They are true to size and according to my grandson, uncomfortable
These are for my grandson. They are true to size even though winter hasn’t hit yet they look like they’ll be a very nice snow boot.

Really, really nice but not wide
The boots are super nice. The kind of quality you'd expect in adult Sorel boots. They seem very warm, waterproof, and have decent traction. The fit is definitely not on the wide side of things. And while you get what you pay for, $60 for a pair of boots a toddler might wear only 3 times is a total kick to the nuts. I'm really glad I snagged these for 60% off. When I ordered these in early/mid October, they were a bit too big for my toddler. Then it didn't snow, and didn't snow, and didn't snow. Now it's December and we only just got snow, and the boots are definitely tight.
