I love Spenco shoes and these are no exception. They are a life saver for my plantar fasciitis. These run a little bit narrower than other Spenco slides I own, but they still fit me just fine (I see that these also come in wide widths, which most Spenco shoes don't...so if your feet are on the wide side, you may want to order wides).
I've bought two pairs of the shoe as slippers for my daughter and myself, different sizes and colors. This model seems to run on a shorter end of the size; considerably narrower in arch; provides less support than, for instance, Siesta mules. I am not quite sure that they are made of genuine nubuck, but it's soft and, overall, the shoes made pretty well. I had to return my pair, but my daughter, who has narrower and lower-arched feet, is quite happy with hers, so I am giving 4 stars.
I’d purchased at another place a pair of spenco shoes (Ashton). I was so impressed with those i thought these SHOULD be the same. They looked identical. Because of that I didn’t read about materials. These are leather instead of the suede. Never imagined it would make a difference on comfort. But it does. Then add on fact that these didn’t have the black. That was -HUGE!! The Ashton shoe impressed the others I showed it to. These just look ugly. Not flattering at all unless you’d have a small foot. I’m keeping them for emergency. If others wear out,etc. I was so disappointed. My “Ashton” shoes fit like a glove. The best shoes Ive had my entire life. 60+.
These shoes are great for plantar fasciitis. I am a hairdresser so on my feet a lot. Not bad in my small bunions either. I’ll definitely be getting another pair!
Spenco shoes are especially great for people with foot issues. Well made, very sturdy & extremely comfortable.
I like the shoes however have to replace the insoles with Spence’ s high arch support insoles since I have flat feet.
Too wide.
