Some of the best shoes I've ever had - I highly recommend it; I did replace the laces though (didn't like those)

I love these shoes (and all Sperry shoes; they've been my last few pairs and they hold up great/look great, etc.). I've only had these a few months and have gotten like 10 compliments on them, and they're also very comfortable. My one complaint was that the laces were that stiff round kind - but it wasn't a big deal I just replaced them with laces from other shoes I had laying around that I don't wear anymore.

Great Shoes!

I have actually bought these twice because I like them so much. I first got these last year and wore them all the time and loved them. They fit like other size 10s I have had and are comfortable to wear. My old ones got so worn out due to the rough winter I made them suffer through. I would suggest water proofing them so that your feet stay dry and so that they will last longer.

Good purchase for the style, although not the most durable.

I previously had a pair of blue Sperry Top-Sider CVOs, and they were great. I wore them for close to 2 years before a hole started forming over my right big toe and the sole started disappearing. I loved the style but didn't want the exact same shoes, so I picked up this Chambray gray pair instead. The color you get is slightly lighter than the picture makes it out to be, but otherwise it is very close. The tongue, laces, and back are black leather. The laces are relatively easy to use but do come undone very easily compared to cloth laces - however, they look great with the gray fabric. The rubber sides will bend and break a little with regular use, but I think that wear and tear is expected and contributes to the look (the same happened with my other pair and only made them look better). The fit is good. I wear size 12s and bought a size 12, and they fit very comfortably. If I need to make them tighter, I can lace the shoes more tightly as well. These sneakers may not be the most durable (compared to running shoes), but they do fare very well for their price. I did dock one star as a result of being less durable than my previous shoes. As I mentioned, my previous pair of Sperry CVOs lasted two years before developing holes and wearing out the sole. Admittedly, I wear these every day and walk a few miles a day, so they do get a bit of wear and tear. Conveniently, they dry relatively quickly, as I've been caught in a few rainstorms while wearing them before. While they do get soaked, and your socks won't be protected, if you clean them up when you get back and stuff them with newspapers they dry overnight, although potentially with some stains. By virtue of their design, they also provide a lot of traction on wet surfaces, which makes me feel a little more confident when going out on rainy days.

Great Multi-Purpose Shoes

When I originally was looking for a new pair of sneakers, one of the biggest problems I had was the lack of good choices if I didn't want leather. After much searching, I came upon these denim shoes from Sperry and instantly loved them. They are exactly what I wanted out of my every-day shoes. Because they are plain enough, I can wear them at work and because they are casual enough, I can also wear them at home and when I'm out really anywhere. While they did take a few days to break in, as most shoes generally do, they eventually became very comfortable to wear, and i never have any issues with them even when I do lots of walking in a given day. My fear with any shoes I buy, as a northerner, is that in the winter they will leave my with cold or wet feet - but despite the recent blizzard they seem to be holding up quite well (so long as i don't completely fall into a deep puddle). I can probably credit this to the pretty high rubber lining that goes completely around the whole shoe. In any case, they have served me well so far and even though they don't show any signs of falling apart yet I'm definitely going to invest in a second pair for the future.

Quality is not consistent but they are comfortable and I toss the laces immediately!

Love these - tossed the laces before I ever put them on!Great slip on shoes and no concern about the sole's - they are full grip boating shoes with no hard spots.Unfortunately some of the Sperry's have a half grip and half slip sole - these are the good ones! They don't last all that long - maybe 1/2 a year before a hole shows up in the sole but they do have a good boating sole and the spandex holds them on well without shoe laces.I have ordered these for years and sometimes the same size will hurt a toe and never relax so they get little or no use. They do not last long unless you use ShoeGloo or something like that to make the soles last longer. They do not make it past 6 months with regular use without a hole in the sole or something falling apart. They are a sort of indulgence - when they fit they look great and feel comfortable. On the whole the Sperry brand is a low end brand with high end looks. Unfortunate - they use to be a great brand. I would never recommend them - but I continue to wear them - I guess in part because I know what to not buy from them (the fake rubber soles that only have patches of rubber and mostly very slippery other surfaces).

Big improvement to a classic design

I got these Salt Washed Striper LL CVOs to finally replace the pair of Striper CVO Color Pop that I've been wearing nearly every weekend for more than 5 years. They're the same basic design that I like, with the same good fit and build quality as before. I'm sure I'll keep this pair for at least as long as I've had the last. These new CVOs feature only one major difference that I can discern: the insoles have improved quite a bit at some point since I last bought a pair of Sperrys. With the old pair it didn't take long for me to realize that I needed to ditch the included insoles and replace with a third-party insert, which I ended up using for years. I fully expected to do that with this new pair, and even bought some inserts with the same order, but as it turns out I don't need them at all. The improved insoles that come with the shoe are far more comfortable and supportive than before, and even better than the gel inserts I've used in the past. I'm very happy with this change and would recommend this shoe to anybody.
