I wish I had read the prior reviews. Like many others, I ordered these shoes in “Big Kid Size 6” for my 11 year old, but received a infant/toddler size 6 shoe instead. I chose these for the fast delivery because we leave tomorrow for a family ski trip and winter boys are impossible to find in Florida and I thought I had gotten super lucky with these. Unfortunately now there’s no time to exchange them before the trip so I will be returning. Also now that I know these are tiny toddler shoes I am appalled at the price.

Toddler and little kid sizes

The sizes on this are currently labeled 'Big Kid' with numbers ranging 6-12. I stared at it for a while trying to figure out what a 12 'big kid' would be because usually shoe sizes include a 12 toddler/little kid then 13, 1, 2, 3, .... and then next 12 would be an adult shoe. There isn't really a 12 'big kid'. I took a chance and ordered the 12 'big kid' and it is indeed a 12 toddler/little kid, which is exactly what I wanted. My 4 year old is currently in a 10T, but I like to size up boots to leave room for thick socks. These are a little big yet, but will work great and should last us all winter.The bottom grips seem great. The boot walls are decently thick, although not as thick as some boots we have. They are easy to get on and off. They look nice. My only complaint really is that I wish the velcro strip was longer and wider so I could get a better and tighter fit, but it will likely be fine how it is.
