Lovely feminine rain, snow, ice boot
Yes, these are made for narrow feet and/or people who do not carry extra weight. If this does not describe you, then you need to order up a size! I purchased my usual size 9 and they fit well - my toes have plenty of room to be free and spread out in the toe box. I purchased these in 2 colors - this black color with camel accents and the cream/white color. The cream/white ones do indeed have a screw in each heel. This is evident if you lift up the Sperry insole to investigate. The black pair does not have a screw in each heel. These both appear to be "original" Sperry products manufactured in China, with QR code verification in the tongues. Every other pair of Sperrys I own were made in Vietnam, so there may be quality control issues with these ones being made in China.Are these comfortable, thermally lined, and suitable for rain/snow/ice? Yes! Will you be comfortable wearing these "as is" to run errands, go shopping, shovel your driveway, probably yes. Will you be comfortable wearing these "as is" to walk a couple miles to work if you are living in a city, probably not. My solution was adding comfortable inserts. I did not remove the existing insole! If you have problem feet or "tired feet" then you will definitely want to add your own insole. If you plan for this to be your everyday shoe in the fall/winter, then get a second pair so you can alternate. These boots were released in 2021 and are not available on the Sperry website, so whatever you find here on Amazon is likely to be a return or a "try before you buy" item. I don't think this is a big deal. It's like going into Macy's, Belk, or Dillards to buy shoes and getting angry that someone else tried on the shoes before you bought them.

Really comfortable - not really warm.
I love these shoes! I have wide feet, not REALLY wide, but wide. At first I thought they'd be too narrow, but they're not, the width is perfect. They're a little tiny bit too big, but that's perfect for wearing thick socks with them.They are absolutely perfectly water proof. However, they're not very warm. I don't think they're pretending to be snow boots -- they're definitely for falls or warm winter days - they are warm enough for that. But for snow, it's like wearing rubber boots in the snow. You know the feeling. Cold.I love the leather shoe laces.They look good with jeans or nicer clothes. Probably not perfect with a dress - but I do it anyway and it isn't TERRIBLE, if you don't live in New York.

Finally a winter boot with a heel!
It’s so hard to find a winter boot with a legitimate heel, like these have, for a decent price, so for that I am extremely grateful to Sperry. I need a heel because of my plantar fasciitis so they seem like they’ll be comfortable, though I haven’t worn them yet so I can’t say for sure. They also seem warm. They look good too—like they could almost pass for regular boots and will go with most outfits. I will say that the sizing seems inconsistent. I originally bought the grey/black ones in 8, which is the size I normally wear in boots. They felt pretty tight in the forefoot area, under the rubber part. They just fit with thin socks, but I wanted to be able to wear a thicker sock when it’s colder. So I went with the all black in 8 1/2. They feel slightly larger than necessary, but more comfortable ultimately, so I stuck with those. I also thought the all black looked more like a regular boot, and I wanted these for running errands in rainy/snowy weather, not for an actual snow boot. Overall, pretty satisfied with this purchase.

Love these boots
I bought these boots because the price was great for this style boot and especially great for this brand in this style.The boots are warm and super comfortable. More fashion than function after about a month
First the good, then the bad:I wore them daily and loved / couldn't recommended them enough for the first month. They received many compliments, fit like gloves, felt like plush slippers, looked beautiful, and worked great. About a month in... they started torturing my feet without warning. The laces snapped about a week later. So I recommended getting a size larger than you wear, getting good insoles/inserts, and backup laces for when the ones they come with inevitably snap.
