Several months ago, while hanging a new door going out to the garage, the door fell on the front of my sneakers, crushing the big toe toenail of my right foot. The tennis shoes I was wearing offered no protection at all. I ended up losing that toenail.I am a retired white-collar worker that has never owned steel-toed work boots in my life but paid the price for not having any. I ordered these boots after the fact. Now, whenever I am working on any of my home projects, I do not wear soft top type shoes anymore. I wear these.They are comfortable and fit well. Not expensive at all. compliant to ASTM F2413 safety standard for work boots
First, these boots are compliant to ASTM F2413, which is a safety test done on work boots and protective footwear that rates them for safety features to protect against workplace hazards. The most common rating sought is a steel safety toe, however there is puncture resistance, electrical hazard resistance and many other ratings given in addition to OSHA-approved safety toes. This is a very good feature, and you can't beat the price point!These boots come with two sets of insole pads. One is a standard pad and the second is a extra cushion style padded insole for additional comfort. I tried using both of them at first, and found that the added height caused my big toe nails to rub against the steel toe caps. I have seen more than one person's big toe nail turn black and come off from steel toe caps rubbing, and you can prevent that pretty easily. Make certain that your boots fit comfortably and no rubbing against the steel caps! In short, I chose the extra cushion pad and it is perfectly by itself.The boots look and feel very nice, and I suspect that they will last for a long time.The ultimate test of this footwear will be to wear them for a few days. I have been wearing them around my house for a few hours. So far, I have no complaints.I will report back if anything becomes uncomfortable, but so far I think I've found a winner!!

Not the greatest for cold weather, but I am impressed with these boots. Comfortable and strong
I ordered these boots mostly NOT to be used for work / jobs. I do like the puncture resistance feature and the steel toe. These are great features and I WILL use these when I have that need.As someone who has stepped on loose nails from careless workers along property line, I assure you the puncture resistance feature is great to have.But I ordered these boots, mainly to just have around yard when I need some boots vs tennis shoes.They are water resistant as well so they do work in the snow and they actually work quite well. But they are not winter boots so the insulation is not as good as work boots designed for it.They come with an extra pair of insoles that are much thicker and more padding. I guess you can choose which you prefer. I prefer the thick, padded ones and I feel the boots fit and feel very good with them in. I am surprised and impressed with how comfortable the boots have been thus far. I don't wear them for long periods so perhaps they get uncomfortable, but for 20-45min of wear at a time, they have been very good.The price went up since I ordered. $50 seems pricey given options in market, but I do feel they are worth the $50 price (although you can probably find alternatives for less). If the price were $10-$15 lower, I'd say these are a must buy given the quality and price. At about $50, I still think they are worth it because the protection and quality. I recommend

Comfortable, lightweight, steel toed boots
I have wide feet ant these boots fit very well. There’s not a great deal of padding on the bottom but they feel very comfortable. Part of the comfort is that these boots don’t feel nearly as heavy as my other steel toed boots. However there is definitely a steel toe on the boot which is the whole reason I got these. They have a good sole design that doesn’t trap a lot of mud and dirt in the treads. I like the comfort and safety the boot provides. The boots are extremely easy to put on and take off. They also are flexible right out of the box and feel good the first time you use them. Overall the boots are well constructed, wide enough, comfortable and have some great safety features.
