After breaking them in, I love them.
These were really snug and stiff when I first received them, but broke in fairly quickly. I've had them for a couple of years now and they still look almost like new. The leather has some light creasing, but aside from that, these have proven to be very nice, durable boots. I live in the PNW and wear them in all weather except snow and by the way they look, you'd never have guessed I'd worn them in rain and stepped in puddles. The boot is well constructed and the upper is still perfectly adhered to the sole with no excess or sloppy glue anywhere. These are the most comfortable with a thin sock. I'm usually a 9.5/10 and ordered a 10, but these run a smidge tight. Because they're leather, they've molded to my feet and are some of my most comfortable shoes now.

Run small
Well…. Sent back the 8 1/2 bc they were too small but loved them. Size 9 was 2x the price so ordered 9 1/2. Turned out well they fit perfectly. However they had been worn & since it wasn’t too awfully bad kept them. But beware because these unbelievably 1/2 prices on some styles means returns. Sooo… if you can live with that it’s a good deal. If not beware the cheaper price is a returned item. Perhaps worn perhaps not. You may luck out & get a fresh unworn pair. Just something to be aware of. For me cheaper price for a few scuffs was fine.

Not of the same quality
I had originally thought these shoes from Nordstrom’s in 2018, I was buying them again to replace my old pair that I have worn out the heel. The quality is so much cheaper. My old pair was suede and nice, the new pair is not suede it’s some cheap material. Pair on the right is my old shoe, left is the “new” pair.Very disappointed Steve Madden, Price in 2018 $80, price today $66… I read the lining, it’s the same style, size and shoe.

I followed the reviewer recommendations and ordered half a size larger, they fit wonderfully well, so definitely listen to the advice. One comment though, and I docked 1 star for that, the color I ordered is Cognac and what I got is definitely that orangey, cognac shade. That is NOT what the product photo suggested. Based on the photo on Amazon, I thought I was ordering a pair of DARK brown boots, not light, orangey ones. I would have preferred the dark shade, but I think I will keep them as they seem really comfy and stylish overall. I have thin feet and legs so no problems getting them on and off.

A great travel shoe!
I wouldn't say these are the best looking boot - they are really nice (and the quality shows), but you don't go gaga over them. However, if you want something that is going to go from jeans casual to dress/tights going out - this is it. And they are really comfortable. I was able to wear them all day - doing a lot of walking - and my feet did not hurt. Though it should be obvious from the description/pictures - these do NOT have a zipper - they pull on. So be prepared for that. I've never had problems, but if your feet are swollen from the plane or just tired - it might take a little work to get them on or off. These were a great purchase.

These exact shoes are an absolute staple in my closet. I first got them in 2016 and just bought my third pair. Not because they’re cheap but because I wear them EVERYWHERE including when I go to festivals/events/clubs/sports games, you name it. Yes, the first couple times they’re tight but once broken in, they’re so worth it. They’re classic shoes and the leather has withheld. I’ve needed to order new ones from the heal breaking. But again, these get more wear and tear and any other shoe in my closet.
