Roomy, comfortable, easy on
My toes have plenty of room to spread out and not rub my little toe. The shoe is wide enough so that it is easy to slip in my foot without stooping, and I use a shoehorn to keep the back from folding over. The area around the instep is very wide and thankfully the Velcro strap holds my foot secure when walking. It is an okay trade-off for the roomy toe box. The insole has a nice arch support. The material is soft, not rough as canvas. Since I have black, the rough edge of the tongue shows white where it was cut after stitching. Not the best impression, but I am happy to get a comfortable fitting shoe. My normal size is 8.5, which I ordered, and I am comfortable with the fit.

I think these may be part of my answer. I have a lot of pain in my feet. These seem very comfortable, and lightweight. I like the style, love them in pink. They fit good. I think they run small. I take 7 and half. But I want a little more room, so I got an 8. Toe hits at the end, so not much more room. So go up a size. But I think I'll be happy and maybe get some more, after I try these for a while.
