Higher Upfront Cost, But Saves Money and Frustration in the Long Run

Like many parents, I always get worried about and rarely ever spend too much money on my kids' shoes. My reasoning was always that they grow out of them so incredibly fast, it seems wasteful to invest in an expensive pair. These Stride Rite shoes have lasted and are still going strong through all the running, jumping, and playing. When I actually took a moment to do the math, I was stunned. To be honest, I realized I had already spent three times as much on the multiple pairs of cheap, generic shoes that I've had to buy this year compared to this one pair.While there is a higher upfront cost, I've learned that investing in a quality pair of shoes like this is actually the more economical choice. I couldn't be happier with this purchase and so far, I love these shoes. I am officially a convert.

Comfortable and fit well

These Stride Rite 360 sneakers are great for my 5-year-old daughter. The wide fitting gives her room to wiggle her toes comfortably, and the grey color works well with all her outfits. She says they feel light and supportive when she’s running and playing. I like that they seem sturdy and easy to put on. The style is cute, though it looks more boyish to me. They offer her foot good support and have good traction on the bottoms so she doesn't slip. So far, they offer good comfort and durability for everyday wear.

Very nice shoes.

These are nicely constructed. The stitching is all straight. All the material cuts are good. The insole is removable and is clearly labeled to be removed if the child has wide feet and needs extra space. The under-insole is also padded unlike regular shoes that have more of a rigid surface under a removable insole. There isn't any formed arch support on either the removable insole or the base that's underneath it. The built-in laces are elastic and the velcro type cross-piece is the only thing that needs to be manipulated open/closed to put on or to remove the shoes. These are priced at the level of higher-end shoes, and given the fact that kids grow out of shoes very quickly one might want to take that into consideration. But overall, i think that they're very nice. The shoes pictured on the toddler modeling them are for an older cousin, so that's why they look somewhat too big.... because they are. But the toddler loved them anyway!!
