Just what my son needed. His feet are super wide and impossible to find any other brand that fits him. Stride Rite in XW is what he has worn all his life. His feet are so wide, that I have to remove inserts for them to fit. I'm grateful that these sneakers have the removable inserts so that you can always find a perfect fit for your child. Please never stop carrying the XW. He wears Stride Rite daily for school and the quality has been phenomenal.
Very good quality shoe
This has been the worse pair of Stride Rite I picked for extra wide feet. He started wearing them beginning of August and by end of September. They are so worn on the strap, that one foot about doesn't close. He had to move up a size because of wear. Will start buying New Balance extra wide to get more time in a shoe for the price.
I bought these for the purpose of my.sons SMOs. Other reviews said they worked great, they weren't wide enough to fit his. They seemed like good sturdy shoes, but they couldn't work for what we needed.
We ordered this shoe as a replacement for our nephew's Stride Rite light up tennis shoes. Unfortunately these shoes are not the same. They run wider than his other XW Stride Rites. We returned them.
