Finding a shoe that fits nicely with my daughter wide feet was hard to find, But when it comes to stride rite.. I had no problem and my daughter did not have pain while wearing the sneakers. Sneakers was easy to put on and take off. The insert comes out to make the shoe alittle wider. 10/10 recommend stride shoes.
These appear to be authentic stride rite shoes. They have multiple soles it them. When my 3 year old put them on at first, they were way too tight. There is the blue sole with the writing on top, a white wedge glued under that, and then a removable white sole under that. If you dig out the bottom white sole, and then put the top ones back in, the shoes fit well. I think the laces are still a little tight, but hopefully they'll loosen over time. The velcro strap is long enough and can be cut shorter if needed. I like the lip on the front of the shoe because my skin likes to drag his feet on tricycles so it gets worn down quickly.
Fit great with my daughters AFOs. Only complaint is I wish they continued the Velcro closure rather than switching to shoelaces at a certain size.
Before getting these shoes, I spend a whole day trying to find new shoes for my son. He has cute little chubby feet so a lot of brands don’t work for him. After failing that day I got home and ordered a couple different shoes using prime wardrobe and these were the winners. The only reason I give 4 starts is because I wish they had Velcro. My son is still young and can’t tie his shoes, but I solved that by getting him some shoe laces you don’t need to tie.
I love this brand and usually it is great but my son wore these shoes for only a few weeks and the bottom of the shoe came off. It has a thin blue layer on the bottom and it just peeled off somehow. Usually my son has shoes until he outgrows them so I am confident that the shoes are defective. Unfortunately I had a bad experience with poor Amazon customer service. The return and exchange window is not long enough to account for defective or poorly made items that are discovered right away. A lot of times I buy things in advance and they don't get used right away. I have the same shoes for my 3 year old and he hasn't worn them yet as he still has to grow into them. I hope the same thing doesn't happen with his shoes.
My kid wears an AFO on one leg and these shoes are the only one that's fits.... he naturally has a wide foot so finding shoes that fit his foot without the AFO the the other with it was really hard. Thank God I found these shoes.The only con I would say is the laces... the plastic ends peeled off quickly and are just frayed ends now.
I love stride right shoes for my child. This brand is the best hands down for toddlers with wide feet. They fit comfortably and are easy to get on. They also clean really well. Well worth the money for my child to have a nice pair of shoes that last.
