Perfect shoes for school -- stylish, sturdy, and comfortable
As usual, Stride Rite provides an excellent quality shoe, but Amazon provided an even better price! I paid less than $15 for these shoes. These shoes are high quality leather mary-janes with a rubber sole. I purchased them as uniform shoes for school, and they did not disappoint. They have a thick rubber sole to provide comfort and stability, and a supple leather upper to withstand everyday use and roughness to the shoe. The inside has a soft, cushiony lining. I expect these shoes to last through the school year and still be in great shape for my younger child to use as a hand-me down.

Very bad quality. Terrible.
I’m sorry to write this review but I have to warn others. We bought two pairs for school, the first pair broke on the third week and the second pair just broke after 6 weeks of use. Very important note: My daughter changed into sneakers for recess so she only used these shoes very lightly. I’ll update with photos.

Great for school uniform
This is the fourth pair that I have ordered of this style in navy blue as my girls' feet keep growing. They are perfect for our school uniforms, fit true to size and are comfortable for running around every day on the playground. They hold up really well considering the tremendous amount of wear they get five days a week. They do get scuffed up, but I give them a quick rub down with navy liquid shoe polish (also bought on Amazon) every few weeks and they look like new again.

Love these Mary Janes for my daughter's school uniform
Out of 3 different pairs of shoes my 8 year old can choose to wear to school with her uniform, she always prefers these. That came as somewhat of a surprise to me since she wore this type of shoe as a toddler/4 year old, I thought she would consider them "uncool". But, they are so comfortable that she chooses them over sneakers every day. Another plus is you can wipe of the dirt from the playground from these but can't from sneakers. The fit is perfect and the leather is very soft. The only downside is the navy blue color wears off pretty fast and they got old looking very quickly. Regardless, we'll keep wearing them until she needs a bigger size and will buy again. These are hard to find in bigger sizes in stores so we'll definitely buy from Amazon.

Inferior product and performance, waste of money!
This Stride Rite shoe was delivered on 8/28, today is 9/29, it was worn a total of 22 days to school. I have included photos to show the condition as of today. The sole has disconnected from both of the shoes, making them unusable. It is two days past the return date or I would definitely have returned these defective shoes. Stride Rite you need to do better and use quality materials. I would recommend purchasing a different brand.

Great school shoes
They fit perfect, true to size, provide arch support, comfortable and fashionable. They are easy for my 5 year old to put on and take off and she wears them happily to school. They are well built and they look like it too because they have small, even stitching. Best of all, they look adorable with my daughters navy blue plaid uniform. I plan to order again.
