***FULL DISCLOSURE: Item was received for free through the Amazon Vine program in exchange for an unbiased review.***So these "snow" boots are decently comfortable and reasonably priced, but I don't think they really qualify as cold weather boots. I've been using these as my snow boots for plowing the driveway, and while they're reasonably effective, there's several small points it doesn't quite measure up on.My biggest complaint is the insulation, or lack thereof. The cold can be felt through the sole of the shoe; it's not well insulated from the ground. It'd be fine for milder climates, but not for heavy-duty long term cold use. The traction is also a little lacking as well. It's okay, but nowhere near as grippy as I'd expect from something labeled as snow boots. There's also the matter of size; the boot is simultaneously too small and too big; too long in length and too narrow in width for the advertised US men's size. Finally, the durability is dubious; the fur liner on the inside is not well attached and feels like it's on the verge of ripping after only a few uses.Overall if you need a quick and cheap winter solution, these'll probably be fine, but don't count of them being a good long-term value.

Depends on where you live…

I waited to review this item until we got cold weather (several days in the 20’s) and a couple snowfalls. For the most part, I like the boots. They seem reasonably waterproof (I didn’t walk in water, but I walked in slush and snow.) They are comfortable to walk in and relatively light for boots. They seem well made and likely to be durable.However, here’s what I did not like and why I did not give the boots five stars: The bottoms of my feet got cold walking in snow and on snow-packed paths. A a result, I would conclude that these are not cold weather boots (I do have cold weather boots that are MUCH warmer in the snow). I would consider them ideal for moderately cold climates, not for winter in Minnesota where I live — although I will wear them for walks when it is in the 30’s or above.I watch some ski races outdoors, would not choose them for that or other sustained outdoor activity standing on snow or ice. They lack adequate insulation in the sole of the boot.
