Slightly small, a bit heavy, but cute
They're a little stiff-like, but are able to bend a bit. I wear sometimes sizes 7 or 7.5 shoes, so a 7 in these mary janes would be a slight small, as I am able to feel the end tip of the shoes sometimes with my big toe. Has some cushioning inside for comfort, and soles are a bit heavy but not too bad to be able to walk around it for a while~About the main strap... it's nicely wide enough so it can't fall apart so easily (if it ever would) but around the buckle area, the straps are a bit stiff and tough to change to holes, but not impossible. I only switched to the next tightest hole so that my feet are better secured in the shoes, not likely to feel like they'll "fall off" as I take steps~ but I don't need to undo the stiff straps/buckles every time I put these on, as I am just able to slip my feet in without adjusting them, and they won't seem like they'll "fall off".

I'm an 8.5 (US) and ordered a 9. They were a bit snug and uncomfortable. So I ordered a 10. I contacted the seller and asked if I could return the smaller size. They agreed. Upon printing out the return sheet I noticed the company is only a few miles from me!! So I emailed them and asked if it was possible to drop them off rather than through the mail. They agreed and we're really awesome with all of this! The 10s are a tad big, but I think for long term wearibility they were the best choice. They are super cute and comfy. I wear them to work almost every day!

Adorably hardy shoes...minor caveats
I've only had these shoes for a week, but I am enjoying them quite a bit. They are very versatile and utilitarian; they look cute in casual and dressy situations alike. I've had no foot pain or blisters in terms of breaking them in, either, which is usually not the case for me and shoes like this. The wideness of the mary jane strap ensures a very secure fit, and the sole provides a solid, yet flexible foundation for walking.2 problems I do have with this shoe/brand though -I really wish they made these shoes in half-size increments. I tried on 7s in a shoe store and found them to be way too tight. I ordered the 8s. The 8s generally feel fine, but are a little too roomy, especially in my left foot. Most people do have slight variances between feet relating to size, and this is where having half-sizes available can be very handy. My heel slips out occasionally when I walk, especially if I'm not wearing a thicker sock. The straps on this shoe do ensure a more snug fit if you move up a notch. Over time though, you will stretch the shoes to the point that even the tightest setting on the strap will not longer work. This unfortunately diminishes the life of the shoe somewhat.Also, the shoes' insoles are PVC, not leather. The body of the exterior of the shoe is leather, and should hold up pretty well, but having the inside be plastic means your feet will probably be sweatier than usual. One might want to regularly clean the insides in order to keep the stink factor low.However, I'd say this is a really good deal for the price, considering the fact that Doc Martens of a similar style sell for upwards of $100 at most places. These may not be quite as hardy as the Docs, but you can buy multiple pairs for the price.

Nice shoe
The fit is good and the shoe is well made, seemingly.I ended up finding the right fit with my usual size 8, and rather narrow foot. I like the weight of the show. The buckle is nice and the strap over your foot is wide, its the look of being substantial.This is a perfect shoe for the goth, punk, rocker of person like me thats middle aged and still has the heart of a punk,however, sadly, I've fallen into being a bit less outward attitude.I like this shoe brand because of its roots. Its a proper shoe.

Favorite shoes ever
I love these shoes. I had some very similar before and I went hunting for a new pair. My feet are on the wide side so they will definitely be more comfy with some breaking in, but they run true to size and do not rub or give blisters. I love the chunky toe and soles. They're like a girlier, fancier version of combat boots. Love that heavy sturdy look to balance my big legs and big butt. Great for rainy days, keep your feet dry and above the puddles. I wear them with everything, they dress up my jeans and are great with dresses. Once I get a cushioned insert I'll be wearing them every day.

NOT TRUE TO SIZE - RUNS SMALL
To spare all others the enormous hassle of receiving shoes that are *significantly smaller* than standard sizes here in the USA, please do yourself the favor and order one size up. While others in past may have received shoes true to size, these shoes and all others of the T.U.K brand I've ordered as of March 2013 via Amazon *ALL* have run shorter than standard USA size.For example, a size 8 is *barely* an 8. You really need to be a size 7 or scant 7.5 to wear the size "8" offered if you plan on actually wearing these through the day, wearing socks with them and etc. -- and so on for all sizes you order.Lastly, be aware that if you (like I did) ordered MULTIPLE items, and absolutely none of them fit, you may not be able to exchange them all. Amazon apparently has a limitation on exchanging items that are the wrong size. This means: your time and money will be lost to correct what could have been a simple solution if someone just clearly indicated that the shoes they are currently producing DO RUN SMALL by USA sizing standards. I love the style and brand but super disappointed at the misinformation on the sizing for this brand. Hope this helps someone else.

Absolute LOVE at First Sight!
I received these shoes yesterday and tried them on this morning, They were a size too small. I read the reviews that told me to order a 1/2 size smaller but, I needed a half size larger. I re-ordered the size 9 this morning.I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE everything about this shoe! I loved the presentation in the box. I loved the fit and would have kept them except that I know they would have fit too snugly. I know that when I receive the size 9 pair, I am going to be equally satisfied if all of the other features of the purchase are the same. Great product.I could see the character Abby on NCIS wearing this shoe; in a higher heel, if they have one.
