They fit well, look awesome, very happy with the purchase. They also have a rise to them so they increase overall height
Brought for my husband and they didn't last long before tearing on the foot area. He only wore them when we go out. Nothing straining.
Great quality...!! 👍
I own numerous pairs of quality hiking boots. These are not quality hiking boots. My initial impression of the construction was that it is cheap. There were scratches on both toes and what I'm guessing is errant glue on several places on the boots (see photos). When I read the instructions, it was nice to see that they have a warranty, albeit only for six months. But then I read in two places (see photos) that they should not be exposed to the sun! What?! This is on a product that shows them outdoors in three large photos on the product page and says they are "for outdoors hiking." I've never seen this kind of warning on footwear before, let alone on "hiking boots." Crazy. The boots are lightweight and comfortable and go on and off easily. However, there is virtually no arch support and little ankle support - just the opposite of what you want in hiking boots. The soles are also way too flexible and thin for hiking boots. I could see using these (with added arch support insoles) for yard work or walking the dogs, but there's no way I would use them for hiking. My expectations of these were low, given the price, but I didn't expect them to be completely unsuitable for their advertised use. If you need hiking boots, keep looking.
To me, these boots are the very definition of a simple, stripped down, tactical boot. They really only do two things well, and that would be that the soles provide outstanding traction, and, the boots are extraordinarily lightweight. In fact, I would say those are the two finest qualities of these boots. On the other hand, these boots are absolutely no-frills in that they provide no beneficial cushioning or support for the bottom of your feet. A nice pair of inserts may be of benefit if you plan on walking or running to any significant extent with these boots, and then the benefits of the lightweight construction could make these a little easier on the feet. The amazing traction of the soles is tempered by the fact that they are overly flexible. For example, if you wear these boots in sharp, rocky terrain, the soles mold and flex to the terrain, but they transfer all that flexibility into the bottom of your feet. I’m about 190-200 pounds at the moment, give or take, and my body weight is enough to make the soles flex in a pronounced manner over rugged terrain. If you add a backpack or something to the equation, well, it’s not going to be any easier on the feet. Check out the pics I included, two of which I am folding the boots in half at the soles, both length and width-wise, and you’ll get a better idea as to what I am referring to. Also, anything sharp, like a nail, is going to go right through the bottom of these boots as far as I can tell. I would say the same for broken glass if a sharp piece is oriented in an unfortunate manner, I think it will go through the sole and possibly/probably cause injury to a foot. Frankly, I think a sharp stick would likely pierce the soles of these boots. In essence, other than just covering your feet, these boots afford virtually no support of any kind, including ankle support, and no protection, other than just wrapping your feet in material - like I said, basic, no-frills boots. I do think they could benefit from a good shoe insert, but still the super-soft soles transfer a lot of the terrain to the bottom of your feet. It is worth noting that the lack of support and protection does make for a great deal of movement and dexterity, but I would prefer something with more support. For known, non-rugged conditions, these boots would be more suitable, but in rough, jagged terrain, I wouldn’t be thrilled wearing these. And before I forget, it’s worth noting that right out of the box, these boots absolutely and completely wreak of rubber/chemicals. I had to leave the boots outside for three days before I could even tolerate being near them. Even after wearing them, they still seem to be retaining the odor, so they will be spending some additional time out on the deck until the smell dissipates.
I've been looking for a good pair of tactical boots to wear when I am out and about doing my mountain walks. When I saw these, I wanted to give them a try. When they arrived, I looked them over to make sure there was no type of damage, such as tears or rips or anything like that. I found nothing wrong with either of the boots. They fit exactly like they should have, nice and snug. So, if you wear this size, they will fit you with no issues. It laces up and tightens around your leg beautifully. You can put your pants over them and then go out and do what you want to do with them. For me, I use them for outdoor hiking during the weekend when I go up the hills and down through the desert area where I live. I know I am protected. Nothing is getting through these boots. The sole of the boots I like because they are made for the type of terrain I walk on. Most of it is sand, but there is rock. There is dirt. And it protects my feet. Also, it's non-slip. So, as I'm going down the hill that I just climbed, I don't worry about having the fear of slipping. Because the traction on these boots keeps me right onto the terrain that I walk on.I highly recommend them for military use or hiking like I use them for. From the durability to it actually fitting like they are supposed to, I am giving them the five-star rating.
These go on softly from the get-go and lace firmly with three different lace secure-types. They're very lightweight and the fit is slightly large. I ordered a 7, which I wear in women's sizes, but they fit me like a women’s 8–and I was counting on that so I’d be able to wear thick socks when needed. The quality is on par for the price, in my opinion. Functionality is high for me because I’m a ‘boots person,’ and I’ll wear them for both work and play. I don’t hike and I won’t wear them in the water, which might be good tests for actual tactical boots, but I’d say these are more ‘tactical style’ boots.Durability for me will be long because I’ll wear them infrequently and not abuse them. Depending on your needs, these could be a great buy for you. If they are fulfilling style and general practicality, you’ll be pleased. And if you wear women’s sizes, make sure you calculate the right fit for your foot and intended use before you order.
