Best boots ever!
I wandered into a small shoe shop after watching a movie just to browse. These were so cute that I tried them on just because. I am SO glad that I did. They have become, hands down, my most favorite shoes. After a bad car accident, I have a lot of ankle problems. Yet I work in a job that I am on my feet all day long (in medicine). So I always wear boots, as it's easier to wear tight laced boots than clogs with an ankle brace. So I'm somewhat of a connisuere when it comes to comfortable ankle boots. These are amazing. They are well made. They are sturdy. They are supportive. They don't slip on slippery floors (important in a hospital). They have a rubberized heel, which ensures a comfortable and forgiving step. And they are adorable! Great styling and great colors. My favorite are the teal ones, but the red are great too. (Yes, I bought two pair!) They are spendy, but you have to pay for good shoes. I've gotten tons of compliments on them so far at work and out and about. When I bought them, they were so comfortable that I wore them out of the store. I was able to wander about and do quite a bit of browsing, where I wouldn't have been able to do nearly as much in my other boots. One word of warning about these boots, they have a thick liner that is furred. At first I was a bit turned off by this, as I live in Florida, where it's always hot. But so far after wearing them every day for three weeks 14 hours at a time (did I mention that I'm hard on my feet?), I haven't had a problems with the liner being too hot yet. In fact, I've found it to be very cozy and supportive. I wear them with thin cotton socks and it works just fine. So if you're thinking about buying these, I give my full support. They are wonderful and despite owning two pair, I kinda want to buy one of every color now.

AWESOME BOOT AWESOME FIT
I usually wear a 7 1/2 but got the 8-81/2 so I could wear thick socks. I have flat feet, planter fasciitis and spurs. These boots ARE GREAT. I also have arthritis in toes. The toe area is nice and roomy so much so that my toes aren’t squeezed. The boot feels great no break in period. I wear them all day at work and walk to the post office 4 blocks one way and back in comfort. I’m 63 with back issues, knee replacement that didn’t work because of back issues but these boots do not hurt my knee or back. I can’t wear many kinds of boots or shoes because my back will hurt badly or my knee will stiffen up. They zip up on the inside, plus tie so you can make sure they fit perfectly. I also got a teal pair because they are so comfortable and look fantastic. The teal is a darker teal so look really nice. I finally can wear something that doesn’t make me feel old. My 16 year old granddaughter loved them so I got her a pair! No complaints at all. The leather smells great, boot is well made and the look is very cool.

The best boots!
I have had another pair of Taos crave boots for 3-5 years and they are fantastic! I wear them almost daily, so I was concerned they might wear out, so I bought them in black. I adore them, but I will say that I found out my original pair had two different size shoes and they fit me perfectly! I had to get a shoe stretcher to make these fit better, but being leather, that worked out fine. I highly recommend this investment in your footwear! Comfortable and long lasting

Nice Boots
I already owned the red pair of these and absolutely looooove them. They are the nicest boots I have ever owned, so when the charcoal color went on sale for a price I couldn’t resist, I took the leap and bought them.They don’t seem as buttery smooth as the red ones do but maybe that will happen with time. I honestly can’t remember if my red pair took time to achieve the comfortable, buttery smooth texture, or if they came out of the box that way.It’s been three years and they still look amazing!Also, they do run a little big, like maybe by like a half size. They also aren’t as comfy in the footbed, so I bought cushioned insoles. It solved the sizing problem, and made these much more comfortable. They don’t really need to be broken in, but when I try on my red ones versus these ones, they aren’t as comfy. Again, this could be that they just need to be worn for a while.For the price point of these boots, Taos needs to include cushier insoles and not the hard ones these came in. Time will only tell if these boots will age well like my red pair, and if they are still worth the price point.
