Cute. Excellent quality and ankle support for B width
I am extremely pleased with these handsome, cute high tops. My ankle is quite damaged and permanently swelled. I was told surgery was the only answer but I do not want fusion nor risk ankle replacement. So, I am working on strengthening muscles around the ankle and trying to find shoes that provide some stability. The Taos Winner is it. I can play with the laces to achieve the necessary level of tightness and I am able to close the zip all the way and the bloating is hidden and the ankle supported. It is true that the arch support is not prominent BUT it is possible that arch support maybe is a bit over-rated, my weakened ankle was further damaged because arch supports (from professional podiatrists) made my foot roll inward. Even though I have high arch, I now prefer and feel more comfortable with no or minimal arch support. Some people mentioned the Winner being too narrow, I can't see how? I typically buy a regular width (B) but there are so many shoes I cannot wear because of the width of my foot (even some Ecco 7 are too tight), but the Winner is perfectly comfortable and I have already walked with it so I know it will suit me. The shoe is not a down comforter so it has some "feel" to it which works very well for me. In fact I even received compliments. I love them. I was ready to order my usual 7.5 size but Amazon recommended 7 and it is indeed perfect.

Fabulous support
I absolutely loved these shoes! I have problems with bunion pain and also have high arches. My feet hurt most of the time. I bought these for a trip to Italy, and my feet did not hurt one bit over the entire three weeks I was there.I rated at three stars because the shoe started to come apart/tear where the white edge at the bottom of the shoe connects with the sole. For the price, this should not have happened. They were never worn anywhere that would warrant such a things. I am not a person who is hard on footwear.I did return them to Amazon, and ordered another pair. I hope that the same thing does not happen again. Other than that, I am very very impressed with the support and comfort of these shoes.
