Beautiful and well-made
This is my first pair of Taos shoes. They are beautiful and seem to be very well-made. So far they are comfortable with a comfortable footbed and good support.I would definitely recommend this seller-the shoes were on time and nicely packaged-thank you!

Great sneakers
These are my 3rd pair of Taos sneakers. Love the comfort and the look. The arch support and cushion insoles, which is removable for airing, is suprising for a simple looking pair of sneakers. My last 2 pair are 4 years old and still look great. I've washed them on gentle cycle and air dry them more times than I can remember. They haven't ripped or separated from the sole like other brands I've purchased in the past. I highly recommend.I wear them with my pretty dresses and get lots of compliments. I wear them for walking several miles with my dog as well. My feet never hurt or ache during or after. Don't spend money on similar looking shoes that are cheaper. You will be disappointed as I was trying to save money. Think about your comfort and the longevity and versatility of the shoe. Please note that they do seem to run small. I usually wear a size 7.5 shoe. The Taos sneakers size that fits me is a size 9. The size 8, Taos, smashed my toes. Please size up and keep trying until you find the right size. You won't be disappointed with these shoes.

Helpful measurements
I wear a size 8 in every shoe I've ever purchased – Clarks, Keen, Merrill, whatever. But I decided to take the advice of many reviewers and sized up to an 8 ½. They fit well, both in length and width. I have a neuroma in my right foot and need a wide toe box, not because my foot is wide but because I have less pain when there's extra width for my foot to spread out, and it also needs extra cushioning (I've purchased many, many different types of insoles). The medium width is plenty wide enough for my purpose but this shoe does lack cushioning in the front, as many have pointed out. The metatarsal support in the insole helps but I still need something softer, so I put in the front half of a foam insole that I bought at the supermarket. Problem solved. My foot measures 9 5/8” long and 3 5/8” wide across the instep when I'm standing (1/8” less when sitting). In the photos you can see the measurements of the size 8 ½ shoe and insole. If you happen to have a similar foot, I hope these measurements will help choose your size.As far as comfort, these shoes are definitely stiff out of the box, but after wearing them around the house for a week, they improved. That being said, I don't think I'll ever want to wear these on a day when I'm on my feet for 8 hours, but younger, undamaged feet would probably be fine. There was a point when I struggled with whether or not to return them, but I love the retro look so I'm keepin' 'em.

Soooo good for your feet and no one knows they have arch support. Buy on repeat!
Taos are the best sneakers. Excellent support in the sole and no one knows. Only shoes that keep my plantar fascitis at bay. Comfortable. Slip resistant. Cushioned and support. Most important they look great with casual outfits. I wear to work frequently. I also wore to Europe to walk all over! 3 pairs now and I will continue to get more.

Good shoe but it does have an issue
I like the look of this shoe and I was able to wear it all day teaching without getting sore feet. I agree with what some others have said. When you walk, there is a place on top of the shoe where it doesn’t bend well and it pushes down on your foot. I was able to ignore it, but I wouldn’t want to wear them everyday.

Soooo comfy for plimsoles!
I didn't want to review these until I'd worn them a few times, but I'm so blown away after the first time wearing them for a few hours shopping, that I had to write the review asap.Wow!First, I have tried SO many of this style (plisoles) to wear with my jeans, crops and shorts - especially when on trips/holidays, but they've all been too narrow or too bulky etc... I even tried the Italian Superga plimies that Kate Middleton wears, and they were so flat inside that my feet hurt after a few hours of walking around.I pronate neutrally, so don't normally need any arch support, but when you are sightseeing or shopping for hours on end you just need that little bit extra, and these fit that bill... they actually have a mild arch support built in. Also, the toe box is actually roomy! My converse are just narrow enough that I must wear bandaids/plasters around my pinkie toes to stop them from rubbing. I keep them because they're cute, but rarely wear them anymore. These dont rub amywhere. Just to be clear - these are NOT wide though, but if you're a medium that enjoys more room, or are just a smidgen wider than a regular medium width, these should fit well. You can see in the pictures that I have already scuffed the right toe, but I can get that out with some white shoe cleaner, so I'm not too worried.Over all I really like the look, and I LOVE the comfort.

Weird heel fit
Sadly these gray canvas shoes weren't a fit for me. Super cute shoes, made well, but funky fit. I bought an 8 (my usual size) and the front area feels good and the insole feels comfy, but the back heel cup is not cupping my heel. It's cut very low, and even with thicker no-show socks, still slips up and down on my heel and will be sure to cause a blister. It's a shame because I was hoping to wear them on my upcoming trip. These will be going back.
