My favorite climbing shoes
My favorite climbing shoes. They are the perfect all-around shoe, edge very well, and fit me very well. They come in sizes 14+ (US), which is hard to come by in climbing shoes. I'm on my 4th pair in 6 years, love them!

I will compare the Masai to my Scarpa maestro. They both have an asymmetrical toe. The Maasai is a much softer shoe that moulds to your foot. The maestro is a stiffer shoe that moulds your foot to the shoe. The Maasai has laces long enough to wrap around the entire shoe for a closer fit. The maestro does not need wraparound laces because the shoe is so stiff. The Maasai supports a thinner, higher arch, and flatter or smaller toes as you will see in the pictures. I’m including a picture of my foot for a reference to show a good shape for the asymmetrical toe.I prefer the Masai for fit and comfort. I think it climbs as aggressively as the maestro but is much more comfortable. The fit is true to size. I normally wear a women’s 8 and the 8 fit me perfectly.
