I was worried about how it would feel or if the break in would still leave it binding like some have said. It this shoe is terrific. Comfortable. Supportive. Attractive. And holding up to daily use. I’d buy it again for sure.
These boots have been fantastic. They are super comfortable from day 1. I’m 5’11” 175 lbs typically wear a size 11. These boots run small so the 12 was perfect for me. I’m 3 weeks into a Scotland and Ireland trip with plenty of rain and they have remained waterproof and warm. Great traction as well.
Great shoes have owned multiple pairs.
This is my second purchase of a Teva hiking shoe. Both shoes have been excellent. They fit as expected, they are sturdy and I feel confident that I am well supported, and my wife thinks they look really good. Since I am not a runner/jogger, I decided to try something different from my Brooks running shoes (sneakers?) when I am wearing jeans and sweatshirt. The Teva shoes are great. I walk 3 miles in less than an hour, and these shoes are comfortable and sturdy.
I have been buying the Rivas every year or two since 2015. When they go out, I buy a new pair because they were the most comfortable shoe I ever wore. THIS version of the Rivas are terrible. Despite owning these, I still wear my old ones. What others said is spot on - crappy laces, uncomfortable fit, etc. Very painful on the top of your foot over and behind the big toe. I took these to San Francisco for a week long conference where I had to walk a lot. Terrible idea. Blisters all over after 24 hours. I swapped to my dressier boots and it was much better somehow. I'm not sure what they did to the design of this shoe, but sadly, I will stop buying them and find a new shoemaker.

I bought off Amazon because they were out of stock at REI and my local shoe store. The tongues are too small and one is smaller inside than the other which chafes the heel. I’m disappointed in the quality of this great name.
