Excellent wet weather shoes!

These Teva Buckle Sandals are fantastic. They’re lightweight, very comfortable right out of the box, and the adjustable buckles make it easy to get the perfect fit. The sole has great grip, which makes them reliable for walking on different surfaces. Stylish enough for casual wear but also practical for outdoor use. Overall, a great pair of sandals that I’d happily recommend.

Mostly good, not for wide feet, back strap sits low.

I have a couple of 20 year old pairs of Tevas that are past time to send to Tevalhalla. These were on sale for 31 bucks plus 8 dollars shipping, so 40 bucks or so total for new Tevas. They are worth it. Four stars, they are good but not great. The bed feels slightly different and slightly harder than previous, although all tevas have a short break in period. The only real dings are, this is NOT for wide feet. If you have wide feet, keep moving, find a different pair of Tevas or Keens even. (These were cheap which is why I didn't go buy the 125 Keens or 100 Tevas.) Also, this may or may not be a problem, the strap around the back of the ankle sits much lower than the old Tevas or really any sandal I've ever had. It is not so low as to prevent them from sliding off, but it makes it extremely easy to kick them off at the end of the day using my big toe to slide it down. This may be a problem for you, if it is then don't even attempt to make this work because you are going to hate it. I thought it might bother me but it doesn't at all. Also, they're not as adjustable as you'd think. If you need to adjust them then your feet are too wide for these shoes and you should be getting a different make. If your feet are too small and you adjust downward, then the straps will hang off and be awkward, unlike other Tevas you should just return and get a smaller size.Otherwise, quality is normal Teva quality and comfort. Once again, if you have wide feet, don't even consider these, don't order up a size, it will still be too narrow for you.Four stars for what you get, one star dinged for it being so narrow and the not-quite-a-problem low heel strap. I'd send them back possibly, except for the color. I ordered blue because I am turning into an old man and for some reason now is the time when every single thing has to be a particular color, not when I was in my terrible twos. Don't ask me. But everything must be blue now. So at least I got blue shoes.

Great Unique Design

These Teva Hurricane Verge Sandals have an excellent, unique design I have not seen before, that allows for hands free slip in and slip out with great support and cushion.

Terrible design

I love the look of these sandals but the design is the worst I have ever tried from teva. The cross ankle straps don’t hold your foot in place. It is constantly sliding forward on the sandal, which you try to remedy by tightening the strap over the toes. This causes a lot of major discomfort and even pain. One of the biggest fails tevas has ever produced. It’s unwearable. I bought my mom a pair to see if it was just me but she hated them. Same problem.

Facts that make it not worth the money

Although they are made well they are not designed well. The only negative is the way the heel strap rides on the heel or lack there of. I think it has a lot to do with the position and angle of the triangulated junctions to the side of the sandal on either side of the foot. The result is that the strap rides on the heel rather than up on the Achilles and therefor has the slipping up and down action that one has when they are wearing too large a shoe. You can minimize this by tightening all the other straps including the criss cross one. but then your foot is getting crunched at the side toe joints and circulation is minimized and the toes start toe tingle.
