Teva Thong Sandals

The shoe was exactly as expected for a Teva sandal - extremely comfortable to wear. The straps were not flattering for my legs, which is the only reason they were returned. Style:Teva is the most comfortable shoe I own. I have osteoarthritis, and the Teva sandal is the only pair of shoes I can walk in comfortably. The thong sandal is a bit of a style change for me. I would prefer an ankle strap, which flatters my legs more.

Super painful but worth it

These took a period of breaking in hence the 4 stars. I wanted to write this review so no one else found that out by surprise like I did. I have super average feet (not wide, not super narrow), and am a normal size 8 - essentially, like most of us. I also have other Teva sandals which required no breaking in and are among the most comfy shoes I own. I also have no issue with thong sandals ever. Be forewarned these shoes are bizarrely tight at the toes fresh out of the box. I made the mistake of wearing them for an all day splash park day with my kids. Basically, I was trapped and in pain. I was able to take the ankle straps off and wear them like flip flops which provided limited relief. After about the third wear they are now totally comfortable and fit like a normal shoe. They are really cute which is why I didn’t try to Poshmark them after that first wear. Sigh, forever a fashion girl; hope this helps!

Straps are too rigid - welcome to blisterville

Straps are too rigid and cut into my feet. I looked long and hard for sandals for my trip to Europe. These looked perfect to walk around all day in (not hike), being cute with a skirt or shorts or wide-leg pants. I don’t know why Teva used THE most rigid strap option, but these will blister your toes immediately. They even cut right through the bandaids I tried to use! I wore them a few days to wear them in….but if you’re going to be in heat AT ALL, the straps stick too much for their rigidity. Poor design.

My perfect summer shoe!

LOVE THESE!!! Platform flip flops with an ankle and backstrap AND in my favorite color - perfect! My usual size, 9, fit perfectly. And while I had pre-decided these would not be good for long walking trips (such as shopping or sight-seeing), I had accidentally worn them to go to a local farmer's market and ended up parking several blocks away as well. Despite my initial misgivings due to being flip flops, they were very comfortable the entire day - I even forgot which shoes I was wearing at one point. No blisters or sore feet. Definitely a step up from usual flip flops in function AND in looks.
