After reading the reviews on this shoe, I figured I should order a size up for my daughter; however, they were too large. I ordered a size 8.5 (1/2 sz. up from her normal size) as well and they fit like a dance shoe should. The shoe itself my daughter loves; she said she's comfortable while dancing in them and she is also pleased with the style/look. They were also more reasonably priced than others I have seen.
Very confortable and good quality
Brought for my daughter’s hip hop class. She’s a size 5 youth size which is basically at the cusp of outgrowing “youth” sizes and into adult sizes. I sized up to a 6 thinking this should be sufficient. I was wrong; she couldn’t fit her foot into the shoe. I exchanged for a size 7.5 and they fit her perfectly. Might not fit her for too long though but that’s fine. Otherwise she says the shoe is comfortable but she hasn’t extensively danced in them. Shoe seems good for the cost aside for needing to size up. Good thing for Amazon Prime and customer service.

Update 10/21The shoes don't last. The first thing I noticedwas that one heel seem to be painted and the other heel was solid black. This didn't pose any real problems after the black paint spread itself on the wood floors I was dancing on. The two materials seem to have the exact same density to me. A larger problem is the split in the split sole. Perhaps I could stitch it up myself, but I'm not that industrious. Rather, I've purchased a pair of Bloch Boost, also available on Amazon, but at about twice the price.Original:I started taking exercise dance classes at my gym and my sneakers were just not cutting the rug. I needed shoes to slide and pivot. I was skeptical because these shoes are inexpensive, but the are fine for 45 minutes of cardio dance class at a time. They feel a little weird to me because all the weight is either on the heel or ball of the foot, but I forget that once I start moving.The only negative comment I have is that the heel of one of the shoes seems to be made out of a light colored plastic painted black. In my first couple of classes with them, that heel made marks on the wooden floor. By now most of that paint is gone and I'm not leaving marks anymore. It's so strange that the other heel is made of a different material. Is it so we can assess the wear pattern to evaluate our form? I doubt it. Why only one shoe and not the other? I'd get another pair in a heartbeat, even though they are not particularly nice looking.UPDATE 11/20 I've worn these shoes three times a week since January and other than the paint coming off, they look and feel the same as new.
My daughter loves these dance shoes. They are perfect for her hip hop dance class and provide just the right amount of support. Great shoe for the price. Time will tell how well they hold up but I don’t see any reason for them not too. Will purchase again when needed. Fit true to size for her.
I love the shoe. it looked very chic. I have a large for. I but size 12 in a woman's size. The first order the shoe look too small in the initial order, which I had to send back for a larger size. I could not believe that it was my size. As I have said. unbelievingly I ordered size 13 that also appeared to look small too. When I put the shoe on it was still very fitting but yet comfortable. I kept it and I am very happy with the product. It runs small!
