FAR exceeded my expectations!
Had to buy these last minute when the more expensive sandals I purchased for my daughter months before Easter no longer fit come time for the holiday weekend. I was desperate for a relatively cute pair of white sandals, that would fit well, that wouldn’t hurt her feet or trip her while she ran around collecting Easter eggs, and that would ship here super fast. I knew I’d be lucky just to get a pair that would fit and arrive to our door before we left to go out of town that weekend. With time running out, and only a couple of possible options available to me, I decided to give these shoes a try. They arrived on time, which was a relief, and upon first inspection they appeared to actually look like the picture as advertised, which was an additional relief, because I had feared they’d look so cheap and poorly made that my daughter couldn’t wear them with her pretty Easter dress. I was pleasantly surprised to see such an inexpensive shoe have decent enough quality to it. That being said, my ONLY real complaint with these sandals is this: The TERRIBLE FUMES are no joke when you open the bag! Please take all precautions to open the shoes OUTSIDE AWAY FROM KIDS and let them air completely out for AT LEAST 24 hours! I did just that, and by the next day the smell of the shoes was almost totally gone. It did eventually completely dissipate and though the shoes had a horrible, noxious, smell new out of the bag, which was a hassle to safely deal with, that was the only thing I didn’t like about them.I thought my daughter would wear these shoes one time, out of necessity, for this one and only occasion, but instead I’ve put them on her again and again. My daughter is a very active toddler, and she’d rather be barefoot than wear shoes. If she has on shoes that hurt her feet, or make them too sweaty, or pinch her toes, or do literally anything to bug her, off they come. She leaves these sandals on, and she runs in them, twirls, climbs, etc... plus we both like how easy they are to put on/take off when it’s time to get ready. I was pretty skeptical that the basic Velcro strap would hold under the rigors of a very vigorous Easter egg hunt, but they held and they are STILL holding today! I’m really kinda shocked that such an inexpensive purchase has been such a great product! It is rare nowadays that you can actually get your money’s worth out of anything, but I’d have to say, I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how much wear we’ve gotten out of these little shoes. I dress my daughter in boho/hippie kind of clothes, well, as much as I can, so we can kind of match styles, and these sandals turned out pretty versatile. I’ve gotten quite a few compliments about my daughter’s outfits when she’s got these on, as I think they appear to be of a higher quality than they truly are...I wish I could say that about more things I purchase, but most of the time the opposite is true. I never thought these sandals would hold up being worn by a wild toddler and how much I’d be singing their praises.I’m definitely going to look into purchasing another larger pair or possibly other items by the same manufacturer to see if I got lucky with these or if the company puts out decent products across the board. Overall, in these times when, unfortunately, you get what you pay for, if you are looking to get a cheap pair of sandals for a cheap price, but you still want them to look decent enough, and hold up long enough, then order the little fringe sandals and you’ll be a happy mama too!
