Best work boot I’ve ever had! When it comes to durability and comfort Thorogood boots are second to none I have bought most big name boot there is and none compare. I’ve purchased Thorogood 3 straight times each pair I would get 4 to 5 yrs out of them and could have worn them longer. I do commercial sheet metal work on my feet all day and these boots are as comfortable as my sneakers. I’ve had this pair 8 months and they are in great condition
I am a professional greens keeper that has the privilege of also maintaining a ski area an off road course and a zip line tour. These boots fit right out of the box then I regularly use leather conditioner on them so break in was pleasant. Tuck the tongue in the same each time you lace up. Comfortable and durable in wet weather not too hot in summer heat, soles are holding up well and I use these every day
I have owned my 8-inch Thorogood boots for 15 years now and have had them resoled twice. They are a high quality pair of boots that have stood the test of time and only become better with age, and now fit like a glove.I recently purchased a pair of waterproof six-inch boots from Thorogood and expect them to be the last pair of winter boots I'll ever own. They may seem a bit pricey, but if you can afford it, In my opinion, it is worth it to invest in a pair of boots that will last a lifetime and only get better with age. To maintain the quality of these boots, I recommend regularly cleaning with saddle soap and applying shoe polish. Overall, I highly recommend Thorogood boots.
Great workbooks. Comfortable and stylish. The tongue has a weird design that bunches up at the sides if you have a narrow ankle, but it molds into place after a while.
My son loves his boots, he has back problems and they have helped him with comfort.
Been a Thorogood fan since my first pair 6 years ago. Decided to try out the AH-1957 series as an upgrade to the heritage pair I normally wear. The leather was great, and overall construction felt just like a great pair of Thorogood boots. However, as other reviewers noted, my pair had either a considerable design flaw or manufacturing flaw. The tongue of the boot was lined with the same membrane as the rest of the boot, but it made the tongue a lot thicker and wider, so when you go to lace up it wouldn't seat comfortably and created some nasty pressure points that made the boot ultimately unwearable. It's unfortunate because otherwise it's a great boot, but had to return for this reason.
I’ve been on an ultimate boot quest since I got in the trades. As a plumber, I love these are waterproof. I stand in muddy trenches a lot and these keep my feet dry. They’re beautiful boots, I sized down a half size they were tight for a week now they’re perfect. Comfortable all day long. I wear them about 60 hrs. A week. I love everything about them so far, let’s see if they hold up as long as the red wing 405 model. Well worth the money so far.
