Great boots. I watched a review and made up my mind to buy these boots. They are made in the USA and the quality shows. They fit well on my above average width foot with plenty of toe room. I’m also comfortable walking around on railroad ballast all day due to nice cushioning and awesome ankle support. I do wish they had a toe cap. Finally I like the composite toe. It keeps the boots light and easy to walk around in all day.
Very disappointed in this boot. Everything was great fit and comfort wise. Cleaned and greased them monthly with Hubert’s shoe grease. Then, after 4 months, the rear seem started to come undone. Within two days of noticing it, it had tripled in size. Even tho Thorogood has a 1 year guarantee, I have found it extremely hard to find someone who would like to help me with that. Thorogood tells you to contact the seller. Amazon tells you to contact Thorogood. A complete joke
Similar boot I've been buying for years but can't buy the original boot number anymore. Quality is very good but not excellent like years past. Shoe laces broke already.
I have bad feet ! Wore Red Wings for 25 years and then they started to give me corns on my feet. Ouch !!! Tried multiple brands and eventually went to foot doctor. Said the padding on my feet was gone as I got older. Tried these boots. They fit my bad feet well and I can wear them all day. That's my story . I'm sold.Let me update. Comfy yes. Durable NO. Working on incline and seams broke on Heel Counter. Gonna try and find a Clobbler to fix. Will look for another brand when soles go bad. Sad. I Always try to buy USA .
So far they are great boots. I was having issues with the insoles that came with the boot. They sort of raised the heel up higher then the toes which wasn't good for my arthritis. After switching the insoles out for something more flat I've been enjoying the boots. They feel higher quality than any other boot I've purchased and I've been wearing boots for over two decades now. I also was afraid of them not being black because my job involves lots of grease and oil. The problem solved itself though.. They are now basically black.I measured my foot and bought based on the chart at 11.1 inches which indicated an 11.5 but I probably would have been fine with an 11.The only other thing that comes to mind is to note these was waterproof and built pretty thick so they retain considerable heat. I might regret it later this summer but so far I am very much satisfied with my purchase.
6 months in and the stitching has almost all but come off on 1 shoe and has started to come off on the other. It's too late to return and for the price i expected way better from thorogood
When I first put them on I was skeptical as they felt weird. After breaking in the insole for about a day these have been great the boot hugs my foot and makes for a stable feeling boot. The outsole also feels great has been really comfortable to walk, run, and climb in and out of trucks. They look good too only thing I don’t like about it that they scuffed really easy but then again they are work boots so there will be scuffs no matter what.
