My husband used to wear timberland composite toe work shoes. After trying Thorogood brand footwear he told me that's the only kind of shoes he wanted purchased in the future. This purchase is his third pair. Most comfortable shoe he has ever worn. Cheaper than most of their competitors. Fit perfect and so far has held up to the work of an oil tool machinist. Very much the best one out there.
To preface my review, I have collapsed arches and bad ankles. The good. The fit is actually good, they fit (for me) true to size in length. The might be a bit narrow for some.The bad, these are terrible for people needing any kind of motion control, they have no medial posting, and feel like they almost actively roll in.If you have "normal" feet, these might be good for you, but if not, stay away. They seem to be a good shoe, but definitely not for some popple.
I have never had an opportunity to wear this type of shoe at work before. I've worn Thorogood boots for years, so I thought I'd take a chance on these. First off,as I suspected with the price, these are imported and not like their boots that are union made in the USA. The things that make these a safe option for your feet, take away from the comfort that you would think you are getting from this style. The shank or foot bed is hard and has no flex, whatsoever! The composite toes,even with a wide width rub the edge of my toes throughout the day. Plus they are almost as heavy as my 8in tall work boots! Maybe they will break in a bit and get there, generally disappointed, but they were really cheap for this solid brand.

They arent heavy, they fit well on my feet, the quality is pretty good, and withouth doubt for the price they are incredible, but theres one big problem, they are really uncomfortable, like, my feet starts hurting after walking a little while, they are the perfect work shoes because even they are super anti-slippery over various types of surfices, but just that problem of being uncomfortable dosnt help a lot, and no, i didnt choose the wrong size
