Lightweight, sturdy built, great value, good price
I have only been wearing these shoes for aweek now and still in the process of breaking them in. They seem to be well made and a bit stiff but pleasantly light weight. These are a size 10.5 wide but feel narrow right behind the toe box and hopefully will break in with use. The insole is amazing and very comfortable with good support for the arch and heel. Its comparable to the more expensive aftermarket insoles I have purchased in the past. The outer sole has an aggressive pattern that feels well for traction on variable surfaces such as concrete floors, wooden & metal trailer floors , ladders , steps , smooth or rough terrain. My work is in transportation and I have used these 10 to 14 hours a day for a week now. Standing, climing, walking, pulling, pushing on all types of surfaces, indoors and outdoors . I have had the opportunity to walk on wet asphalt and concrete, both wet with water, oil , and diesel and so far these shoes have preformed very well. I have worn several of the other major brands in the past and so far in my opinion these Thorogoods are giving me the impression they are going to rank high in comparison.I will try and update my review after putting these shoes through a more thorough use on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.Update 11/17/19Its going on 6 months of daily use for these shoes. I can truly say they are well worth the purchase price and I would recommend them to anyone who may have doubts about giving them a try. Good Shoe

Comfortable and long lasting work shoe
Most new work shoes are stiff, but these are comfortable right out of the box. I got a half size larger than my normal size as suggested by other reviews and fits perfect. Well made and good looking work shoe. Will buy again.. Update: Bought them again, and forgot to add the half size larger. They are a tad snug at the safety toe, but still comfortable. Will buy again when this second pair wears out. Great shoes. The first pair lasted about 10 months of daily use in an industrial steel fabrication shop, which is outstanding. Typically i get about 6 months of service out of a pair of work shoes. The condition of inside of the shoe is what eventually warranted replacement. Never wore through the soles.. I highly recommend this shoe for anyone who spends a lot of time on concrete and has foot pain. They get more comfortable the older they get.

Really sturdy shoe that does NOT run small.
Shoes are really sturdy. Look good, too.Do not listen to the folks in the reviews that say they run small. I went up a half size and now am stuck wearing my old janky work boots with aching feet until another pair arrives.

Very comfortable but poor traction.
The shoe fits true to size. I work in the food industry and most of the flooring is epoxy. If the epoxy floor is the least bit damp these might as well be ice skates. Some floors have more grit than others but the floor that doesn’t have as much grit is very slippery. My last work shoes (Timberline Pro) were excellent for this but were heavy.

3 months in and they are killing my feet, I've tried three different inserts and it does not help. They are also starting to fall apart already. I have switched back to my thorogood boots even though they are heavier they dont kill my feet. I did like that they were lighter but they are too uncomfortable. I work on my feet all day everyday and would not recommend these shoes, but the thorogood boots are fantastic.
