Great shoes for the young professional
I wear these shoes to the office, they're good. One complaint I have is that after the first time wearing them these two massive creases appeared along the front. I'm not a shoe expert and it's probably my own fault because I walked on them wrong or something, but if the shoe isn't sturdy enough to keep that curve just don't build it into there. They still look ok it's just an imperfection.They're very comfortable for office wear with the insoles and I was able to swap out the insoles for the insoles I normally use. I was pleasantly surprised as I am a 12W so it's hard for me to buy shoes online but these hit the mark. I would recommend these shoes to someone looking for nice office shoes without going above the $150-200 range. They are tough to keep looking decent though, as the shine makes every speck of dust or dirt stand out. But they do capture attention, which is good. Nothing beats walking into a room with a pair of shoes that get a positive response. Just gotta make sure they're up to the challenge (same reason people with sports cars are always washing them).

Having bought a new suit this year since my weight loss, I decided I needed a nice pair of shoes to go with it. I remembered how much I loved/hated my Bates dress shoes when I was in the Marine Corps. Loved the way they looked, the high gloss with a dressed edge is just down right sexy. Hated how freaking tight and uncomfortable they were.These run a little big, I took everyone else's advice and bought a size lower than my boot size. These shoes are amazing! I actually expected them to be like the Bates. Tight and uncomfortable, but to my surprise, they are tight enough in the right areas and the insoles are actually comfortable enough to wear all day.If you want to dress them up right, get some Angelus Roll Call Military Grade Edge Dressing 4 Oz. Dress shoes
hmm...So i ordered these in preparation for my upcoming USAF ALS class. I needed a good pair of oxford styled chlorofram shoes.Well, i received these and the first thing i noticed were the soles - They looked like straight up cheaply molded rubber rain boot soles. The kind your parents would buy you when you were a little kid for playing in the mud (maybe that was just me).The next thing i noticed were the laces. They HAD to go. very thick, half ass'd and waxy looking. After i scavenged the laces from my old bates i started removing the the laces from my new Thorogoods' to swap them out. That was fine until the inner lace eyelets started popping out left and right. In total i ended up popping off 9 of them. That was even being careful when i identified the problem after the first one. I finished re lacing the shoes and they seem fine without the eyelets, but that's beside the point. I mean honestly, they were brand new. Shouldn't have happened.I have worn them the passed few days and despite the ugly soles and missing eyelets, they're holding up just fine. My feet arn't aching even after a few hours of drill and random formations throughout the days. I was pleasantly surprised by this, considering its the first time i've had to strap them on. They also passed the uniform inspections, which was the whole point of buying shiny chlorofram shoes. They also fit exactly to size. I ordered 10 1/2 W and they fit true as can be.In all, the price is definitely right. Plus we all know we're gonna scuff the living crap out of them and when that happens, its time for new shoes. I pretty much consider all chlorofram shoes completely disposable anyways and they're a wonderful cost effective alternative to the more expensive (but much nicer) Bates brand. They're also oh-so-much more convenient then the tradition leather shoes that need tedious polishing, only to have some ass bag scuff them out on the drill pad.Just grab a set of laces from a different pair of shoes if the finer details bother you like they do me and you'll be all set.
