Durable for a work shoe
The shoes held up well after over 1 year of use with only replacing broken strings and this has become a standard work shoe for me. Comfortable to wear all day with safety toe and anti-slip. Can be polished to keep them looking better as they age. Shoe constructed well (no seems ripped loose, sole separation, etc.).

Laces are VERY POOR
The laces on these started shredding after about six months, now at nine months one of them broke (and these are only worn two days a week) !I have three year old Merrell shoes and the laces still look BRAND NEW.The shoes themselves are comfortable, although a bit heavy, and have worn fairly well. But I won't be buying again, due to the laces not lasting even a year of less than half time use.

Good fit, highly disappointed that the shoes were made ...
Good fit, highly disappointed that the shoes were made in China. There was no mention in the ad that they were not made in the USA.Everyone expecting them to be made here because it’s a American company,be warned. Will be on my toes if I order again.

Quality isnt there.
Inside started to fall apart 2 weeks in. Asked for replacement and was told to return them to be inspected before a replacement would be issued. That solution was not convenient cause i needed them for work. 3 months later and ive had to throw them out. Do not reccomend.

He liked the support and the non slip factor
just ordered a second pair for my nephew. He liked the support and the non slip factor. He's a husky guy on his feet and suggested this would be a nice gift for Christmas.

Poor toe design
The composite toes on these shoes are designed in a way that is more like the bulbus steel toe boots. While most composite toe makers are using a right and left orientated toe box to provide more comfort (Danner, keen etc) these Thorogoods are symmetrical. What this does is make the toe boxes look huge, while really providing less room then the competition. I found the shoes to be true to size for my feet (10.5w) and made from nice leather, but the toe boxes were too tight while looking almost cartoonish in size.
