My feet feel totally protected in these boots. They are very sturdy, well made, and it is easy to keep the laces on the lower foot snug to keep my feet from moving around in the boot while allowing the upper part to be a bit loose for comfort. I also like the fact that there is lots of toe room. Water beads off of the leather. All in all this is the best work boot that I've found yet.
Got burned for the first time by Thorogood. These boots are the first pair that I've deviated from my normal set. The whole bottom sole of the boots are separating and despite multiple attempts at regluing I'm just going to have to fork out another $250 for another pair. Shame.
B-width: snug heal, good arch support, and bulbous toe make these the perfect fit. But there’s more:A lace lock on the sides lets you tie below the lock at a different degree of tightness than above the lock. There are eyelets at the top instead of cleats - that allows the top to be left open for extreme bending at the ankle – no edge digging into your shin.Fast shipping from seller!
I love these boots, they are well built with durable materials, the sole is bottom sewn in response to previous complaints of premature separation, Crazy Horse leather is thick and substantial, brand name is embroidered and tongue labeled with a handsome look, even spare laces as promised. BUT.... dammit... they don't fit!! I ordered a size 11EE, as I wear a 11EE in my New Balance sneakers. These don't even come close, I'm so disappointed. They fit like a 10D, which, so many other reviewers complained about. I took a chance, they fit miserably and I now have to return to Amazon for a refund. Dammit, because I really like these boots.
Boots are very comfortable, but the only catch is the narrow opening. That’s why it's better to go up half a size or a full size when buying them.
These are well-stiched, well-glued, and seemingly well made. They have good traction and probably resist water very well. The only problem is they fit much more snugly than expected. I ordered the extra-wide EE and it still pinched my toes together and made my foot curl. Going a size or two up wont help much for the width. Going to try and return them I guess. Wide feet...BEWARE!
