Best oxford steel toes I've owned...why not treat your feet!

I just ordered my 2nd set of these, the first are 18months old, I wear them M-F consistently in industrial environment, these are some of the best steel toes I have had. I at any minute as an industrial technical rep could go from installing/training on industrial heavy equipment, to teaching in a class room environment, or discussing trends/products with uppermanagement/ownerships. Because of this, I've always liked the oxford steel toe shoe, as that style really meets my requirements. I've had Doc Martin's and Red Wings (was my favorite until last pair from China just feel apart after 6months, with no assistance from Red Wing in warranty/product quality concern). The shoe laces are the one item that needs improvement, after 3-6months the laces started to crack. The insoles just started falling apart, after 18months of use (my first pair ordered 6/13). I have new sets of laces and inserts to get my older pair back up to standards, and use the new pair for more meetings/office work until my other pair completely falls apart. I would highly recommend these shoes, and I do when discussing safety shoes (required in my occupation) with co-workers and customers.

My go-to, everyday shoe.

I'm on my third pair and love that they have great arch support, fit well, and wear well, even in wet weather.Even better is that they are made in the USA.For the quality, the price is competitive with other, less wear resistant shoes.

Great Steel Toe Work Shoe

Very comfortable shoe for a steel toe work shoe. I'm not crazy about the laces but you can always switch those out. They aren't super fashionable but better than some others. I'm an office worker in a factory that needs steel toe shoes when going out in the production area. These shoes do the job. They are very well made and should last for several years.

Work shoes

I run a restaurant where slip resistant shoes are part of our dress code. I have purchased over 15 pairs of work shoes in my 10 years, ranging from $40 to $140. I will never buy another pair that is not Thorogood. They feel like sneakers, look good and I don't slide on wet floors. They last me over a year working 50+ hours a week on my feet. I'm on my 2nd pair of these exact shoes. Thanks to my dad who was a retiring mailman with $ left in his uniform budget for getting me my first pair. They are the standard if you want slip resistant shoes

Not tough enough i'm afraid

For about 10 years now I have proudly worn Thorogood safety shoes. I usually buy the 804-6905 "Plain Toe Oxford" safety shoe (US made) but decided, this time, to try the US made 804-6908 "Double Track Oxford". This turned out to be a very bad decision. In the garage where I work, the 6905 was great and always lasted over 1 1/2 years before the toe leather began to wear out and look unprofessional. The 6908s I bought in August have faired MUCH worse, in part due to the stitching at the toe, and in just over 7 months are completely unraveling at the toe. The laces, soles and remaing 75% of the shoe are still near perfect. I have always thought work shoes like this would be perfect with a layer of bedliner over the toe area much like Timberland does on their work boots and shoes. Its too bad because they make my feet happy, but at 130.00 a pair, this is just a waste. Toe started coming undone about 2 months ago. Lets see how the "warranty" process goes and I will update. If I get another pair I'm going to have the toe "bedlined" by the local bedliner guy up the road.
