Slick, fashionable sneakers with an eco-twist

These court shoes are not really designed for a Roger Federer style tennis outing - they are strictly fashion sneakers. I got these for my son who has become something of a sneakerhead in the past year and together we opened the unique box designed both to house your shoes in shipping AND to allow you to return your shoes for recycling - a very nice touch, although we do have to find somewhere to stow the box. At first glance, these are fashionable white sneakers with a low top design, non-marking soles, and very discreet branding. My son reports that the shoes are extremely well-padded and comfortable to walk in, while being a little tight - people with wider feet may want to order a half size up.The pleather/vegan leather construction of these shoes means they are a little less breathable, so they might not be the best shoes for summer strolls, but during fall and winter, they have kept my son's feet dry and warm. They aren't his everyday sneakers - he loves the white look and refers to them as his "date shoes" but they are firmly in the rotation. I only wish they made larger (>13) sizes so I could enjoy them too.Five stars, teenager approved, recommended.

Recycle, Wear, and Repeat

I haven't had a pair of true casual tennis shoes in a while and I like the way these looked. I was also caught by the fact that all the materials are both recycled, and recyclable. They are a bit on the pricey side, but overall I think they will be a great pair of sneakers for me.Looks: The looks got me at first. Very clean lines, and a simple but stylish color scheme. They are really nice looking for any casual to business casual situation depending on what you pair it with. The colors and style come exactly as pictured and I couldn't be happier about it.Construction: These are really made well. THe material is thick and the stitching is robust. Cleaning them is very easy as well since the smooth surface tends not to trap and absorb dirt.Fit/Comfort: I typically wear a size 9.5-10. I got these in a 10 since I have a wider foot and they seemed a little narrow in the toebox. I am glad I did. They are fairly narrow. If you have a wide foot, these will not be very comfortable for you. They are fairly comfortable out of the box but pretty stiff. Expect it to take a few outings for these to really break in and fit they way they should. Once they do I have been happy with the fit and comfort.Support/Sole: The insole of the show is just OK. I am used to wearing running shoes and have got spoiled on the amount of cushon they offer. These do not offer a ton of cushion like my runners. The soloe is very stiff at first, and even after breaking them in can be a tad inflexible.Sustainability: Not usually a review category on shoes, but here we are. 100% of these shoes are from recycled material, and when you are done with them you can contact them for a shipping label and send them back where the shoes will be once again recycled into new product. Kind of a cool aspect IMO and something I wish more companies, not just shoe companies, did more of.

Stylish But Uncomfortable Sneakers

I wore these Thousand Fell sneakers for several days, hoping they would break in, but they never reached the comfort level of similarly priced Sketchers I purchased at the same time. The shoes look great and I really appreciate the sustainable, vegan materials , which is a big plus. However, as everyday sneakers, they feel a bit stiff and aren’t as comfortable for long periods of wear. Good concept and style, but comfort falls short.

stylish & comfortable

These are high quality understated sneakers that look great but also have an awesome mission. They are super easy to clean which is really important for white shoes. They are comfortable right out of the box and I feel like there was zero break in period, they have also stayed comfortable with continued wear. I love that they are made from recycled materials and when you're done that they can be shipped back to the company to be recycled, they truly live up to their supercycle claims.

Comfortable, but pricey

These shoes come in a very well-designed box that keeps the shoes separated, so there’s no need for wrapping them in paper. Inside the box, the shoes are accompanied only by two small cardboard inserts placed inside each shoe to help them maintain their shape.I usually wear a size 11, and I’d say these sneakers fit true to size. They were very comfortable while walking around in various stores while running errands and most importantly my heel didn’t lift. Like with most new shoes, they took me a moment to adjust to, but that’s typical whenever I switch footwear. These have more of a flat feel and don’t provide as much support as athletic shoes generally do.The insole isn’t attached and can be removed easily. It consists of three layers: a faux leather top layer, a dense blue foam layer that runs the full length of the shoe, and an additional foam insert that supports the heel and extends to the front of the arch. The interior of the shoe is mostly lined with a nylon or polyester mesh material with light padding. The heel area uses the same material as the exterior, but there is also a different material placed just behind and around the sides of the heel that grips slightly more to help prevent slipping. The exterior has a clean look and the stitching is well done. The soles are almost completely flat with the ground, made from a grippy material with slight ridges throughout. The bottoms feature “FELL” on one shoe and “1000” on the other—the company name. I’m not sure yet how durable the soles will be over time, but I’m optimistic. The shoes are designed in NYC, and the inside label indicates they’re made in Brazil. My kids would call these “statement shoes.”
