Love the brand, but the slip-ons are very tight
I wanted to give these Thousand Fell slip-ons a try, as I am really intrigued by their sustainability positioning not only in the production of the shoe but when it comes to recycling once it has reached the end of its life. I really appreciate their stated commitment to producing ethical and environmentally friendly shoes that are still high quality. At around $145 these are not cheap, but they are certainly not out of line with the rest of the market when it comes to fashionable kicks. I have tried other "sustainable" brands of sneakers in the past and had not been happy with the purchase.I've been wearing these slip-ons around now for a few days to break them in and get a feel for how they wear, and here are a few thoughts...I usually wear a Women's 8.5 in regular shoes and a 9 in athletic sneakers. Amazon recommended an 8.5, and since these aren't really for running I went with the 8.5. Unfortunately I really wish I had sized up to at least a 9. I wore these with low, lightweight socks and I found the fit to be too tight both in the toe box and across the top of my foot. Since these aren't leather I don't know if they will eventually stretch out. The tightness also caused my feet to feel sweaty throughout the day. The inside of the shoe has mesh panels to help with the airflow but it still wasn't enough.I also found that these come up too high toward my ankle and pressed/rubbed into the front of my ankle/leg uncomfortably. It was bad enough as I was just walking around the house or running errands--I can't imagine what it would be like if I'd had them on doing significant walking all day. I wish these had a more open cut around the ankle. On the positive side, I did really like how sturdy and comfortable the soles were. The inside of the shoe has a good level of padding and were comfortable on the soles of my feet. The bottom of the shoe also has a funky "1000 Fell" imprint and a good texture so that I didn't have to worry about slipping or sliding in wet conditions.Overall I really want to like these, but the tight fit and uncomfortable rubbing is a dealbreaker for me, at least with these slip-ons. I know they also make lace-ups so I may give those a go to see how well they do!

Stylish And Comfortable With A Mission
These are nicely made shoes and stylish. I find them to be comfortable. I usually wear between a 9.5 and 10. I selected these in the 10 and I'm glad I did. I have big ankles and these come up high on the instep, and on me are a little snug around the instep, but not uncomfortable. I would not, however, want them any tighter around the instep. I do find them to be nicely cushioned at the back of my ankle, and the sole is very comfortable, as my foot feels supported. I also like the little pink pop of color on the back of the shoes. I do find these to be pricey for what you get, but I think they have a broader mission based on the promo information. They are making a zero waste sneaker and Thousand Fell also has a take-back program to ensure these shoes are recycle after you are ready to toss them. If you return items to them (even other brands) you can qualify for 20% off your next purchase per their take back website. I think with a 20% off discount these would be a better value, and knowing your part of an effort to keep products out of landfills...perhaps priceless.

These are a no for me
I was excited to order these shoes and I love the mission of the company, but I do not at all like the shoes. And even with the mission I feel they are over priced. First I do not love the fabric of the shoes, although they would be easy to wipe off. The number one thing I dislike about these shoes is just how high the front comes up. It is so high it nearly touches my ankle. I have never had a slip on shaped like this, and because of this it makes the shoes super tight. Also the fabric is pretty stiff so that adds to the tight fit. I usually wear a 9-9.5 and went with a 9.5 for these shoes. I could barely put them on and finally did with much effort but because of the stiff material and the fact that the top nearly touches my ankle they were not at all comfortable. These were an absolute no from me.

Not worth the cost
I wanted to love these, but they are disappointing in multiple ways. If they had been an inexpensive shoe I would be more forgiving, but at their high cost I think they are nowhere near worth it.My pair came out of the box with multiple blue scuff marks and scratches in the material. The insoles in both shoes were out of place and wrinkled as if the shoes had either been worn or the wrong size insoles were crammed into place. The color of the sole does not match the product photos. And perhaps most frustrating of all, I am a size 8 narrow and had to FORCE my feet inside the shoe, only to find I had no room for socks and no gap between my skin and the material. The build quality on these, aside from the color of the sole simply being wrong, is also frankly startling for a shoe of this price. There are loose threads and as i already stated, scratches. You should not see this in a brand new product.I cannot recommend these until the brand implements better quality control or, at the VERY least, fixes the product photos to show that the sole of the shoe is yellow. If you insist on ordering, size up.
